Does anyone think that Lexus will put the Sport gearing into the SE and SE-L Models for the new 2009 model? I am stuck between buying an IS220d or BMW 320d. I dont want the petrol autmoatic, it has to be diesel. I know the BMW will be faster and will give better MPG, but something draws me to the Lexus. I like it's looks, it's standard equipment and the fact that it is a little bit more exclusive to everything else on the market. I am however worried about the reliability and engine problems the diesel is known for. So I think I am holding out until the 2009 facelift model comes to see if they have sorted the engine problems. So I just wondering if anyone has heard about whether there will be any revisions to then engine. Thanks Joe406.

I was looking at the Lexus LS today and was suprised to find out it doesnt come with a TV Tuner, when other makers like BMW and Audi do. I was wondering if any people on here know if you can get a conversion for it to have TV. Thanks Joe406

I am looking at buying a new Lexus IS220d. I have read about the high gearing and low fuel conumption of the diesels and need some advice. I know that the Sport had it's gearing re-engineered, but you cannot buy leather seats with that specification. I really want the SE-l but before I test drive just wondered if Lexus has sorted the gearing or if there is any modifications or recalls available. I would really appreciate some advice. Thanks.
