  1. You must have only just missed us, Cheds ;)

Loz and Jo (nice to meet you, Jo) turned up at Matt's around 12

We drove over to the Green, where Wosket (John) nearly missed us.......... nothing to do with his being hung over at all :winky:

Walked over to pick up Zaphod (Tony) and Lorraine from the Bridgewater

Left at around 1 - tried the John Gilbert first, no steak and ale pie, so that was a non-starter

We ended up at Worsley Old Hall

Had lunch and a few drinkies in the sunshine B) (no, it doesn't ALWAYS rain in Manchester :P )

What a superb afternoon..... a nicer bunch of folk you couldn't wish to meet

I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and will post piccies tomorrow at the latest :D

  2. Linda Partington

Age - over 21 that's all you need to know.....

Divorced (nearly 12 months) but still living with ex :yack: , as we've only just sold the house

One son, Daniel - nearly 11

Housewife - for the time being anyway (or should that read Domestic Goddess?)

Used to work for a large insurance company, firstly managing accounts stuff, and latterly in training and recruitment

Affiliated to Matt Wild (Wildrnes) It's his Lex, and I only borrow it occasionally

Not much in the way of hobbies - oh, there's the gym (yes, I know, you wouldn't know it to look at me....) coffee with the girls afterwards, bit of climbing now and again. And Mr Wild :winky:

  3. It's not evading tax - it's tax avoidance - totally different and totally legit.......... :D

And your friendly local accountant - well, that's his job

(My next door neighbour house before last was an accountant, and many a dinner party conversation turned to just such topics. We were a boring lot :sleeping: )

  4. If his estate - including property at current value - is below £250k (I think, or thereabouts) there will be no inheritance tax due.

Other than that, the 7 year rule is true (according to the Sunday broadsheet financial advice)

Maybe an accountant would be a good first call :)
