  2. Hi All... I hope this is in the right place... My 1999 LS400 has just failed its MOT due to a worn suspension bush on the rear RHS (at least, that's the description given by my very reliable garage). It seems that (according to a Toyota dealer) the suspension bush is not available on its own and has to be purchased as a complete assembly described as a 'Rear Hub Bearing Carrier' (£290). They have provided vague part numbers on a Fax of 42304 and 42305 but the Internet has not been able to shed any light on these. If anyone who has had this issue before can give me any clues, it would be greatly appreciated. The car has been so reliable in the past that I can't really complain about this sort of cost, but I just hate paying for unnecessary parts if individual bushes are available. Thanks in advance. IAN

  4. Hi All, I hope this query is in the right place... My LS400 has just failed its MOT as the rear self-leveling headlamp sensor rod has snapped and the lights have defaulted to their raised position. The garage are a bit stumped as the Lexus part is likely to be ridiculously expensive. Does anyone have experience of (or a part number for...) this and is it likely be available via one of the many secondhand spare part dealers? The guy at the garage was thinking of making a replacement rod...!
  5. Hi All, I hope this topic is in the right place as it's my first post. My LS400 has been out in these freezing conditions while I have been away and, although the starter motor turns over nicely, there is no sign at all of the engine firing. Is this likely to be a frozen fuel line and, if so, is there any way I can safely coax it back into a thawed state? Any ideas gratefully received! Thanks Ian
