  2. Frankley this is normal, i have a tvr that i only use occasionally. I installed a trickle charger in the boot as the battery was always going flat and the battery is in the passenger footwell. Car batteries surprisingly dont hold charge that long really with the constant drain from the car alarm. And you would be surprised how much power it has to put out to crank over the engine. 3 weeks without any input is plenty to flatten it out. If u can get some power out to the car, get yr self a trickle charger for next time. but constant flattening and charging kills yr battery eventually. Im forever buying batteries for my tvr as i use it so little, thinking of disconecting the alarm when its laid up for long periods. Ive had 4 batteries in 10 years and its only done abt 3k a year if that. Id say yr battery went flat after a week and a half, let alone 3 weeks.

ANYTHING IS A HELP, MUST HAVE POWER AS IT GOES INTO A FIESTA OF C/D CHANGER NOISES EVERY TIME I GO OVER A BUMP THOUGH, IF ITS NOT GOT AN AMP I ASSUME THE POWER PLUG OR WHATEVER IT HAS, HAS COME LOSE IN THE BACK OF THE STEREO. I GUESS I GET TO UNDER THE TRAY ON THE DASH BOARD, ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO GET THIS OFF?
  5. I JUST REALISED U HAVE A DIESEL, EVEN MORE LIKELY THE INJECTOR.... White smoke occurs mainly during cold starts, when the fuel tends to condense into liquid and does not burn due to cold engine parts. The most common reason for white smoke are in-operative glow plugs low engine compression, a bad injector spray pattern, late injection timing or injection pump problems.
  6. COULD BE THAT IF THE FUEL/AIR MIXTURE IS OUT, SEEMS LIKELY. OTHER THING I MIGHT SUGGEST IS CAM BELT MIGHT BE SLIPPING. SMOKE LIKE THAT FROM THE ENGINE COULD MEAN 3 THINGS THAT I KNOW OF, BLOWN HEAD GASKET ALLOWING COOLENT INTO THE ENGINE. HENSE THE CREAMY OIL - ITS COOLENT EMULSYFYING IN THE OIL. IT DOEST SOND LIKE ITS THAT - BIG RELIEF, POOR FUEL MIXTURE, SOUNDS POSSIBLE IF THEY HAVE BEEN MESSING WITH THE INJECTOR, OR BADLY ADJUSTED TIMING, SOUNDS UNLIKELY IF ITS RUINNING SMOOTH. IF ITS UNDER WARRANTYY THEN YOU SHOULD BE OK ON ANYTHING SERIOUS. BUT IT DOESNT SOUND SERIOUS TO ME. IF ITS UNDER WARRANTY I ASSUME ITS NOT VERY HIGH MILEAGE WHICH SUGGESTS ITS NOT WORN PISTON RINGS. (WORN RINGS ALLOW OIL INTO THE COMBUSTION CHANGER). I VOTE FOR FUEL MIXTURE OUT. WHY DID U CHANGE THE INJECTOR?
  7. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU DROVE IT ?, CAN YOU CHECK UNDER THE OIL CAP, DOES IT LOOK CREAMY OR THROFFY. HOW IS IT RUNNING SMOOTH OR IS IT A BIT ROUGH?
  8. HI, HOPE YOU GUYS CAN HELP. THE STEREO IN MY IS200 (NOT SATNAV MODEL) STARTED TO WORK INTERMITTENTLY. I THINK ITS A LOSE POWER SUPPLY CONNECTION AS IT WOULD SWITCH ON WHEN I DROVE OVER BUMPS. IT GOT PRGRESSIVLY WORSE AND NOW DOES NOT WORK AT ALL EXCEPT WHEN IT RUNS OVER A BIG BUMP THEN THE CD PLAYER STARTS CLICKING AND THEN OFF AGAIN. I ASKED LEXUS AND THEY WANT ABOUT 600 QUID TO FIX. THEY SAY THE DASH HAS TO COME OUT. ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM, CAN I GET TO THE LOOSE CONNECTION MYSELF. IF SO ANY IDEAS ON LIKELY SPOTS WHERE THE LOOSE CONNECTION WILL BE. I UNDERSTAND THE AMP IS BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX FOR EXAMPLE. SO REMOVING THE STEREO MIGHT BE POINTLESS - WHERE DO I START. I HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD AND A LOVELY BUT VERY CHATTY WIFE - GOT A SIX HUNDRED MILE DRIVE IN 2 WEEKS - NEED TO PLAY SOME MUSIC AND STORIES ON THE STEREO OF ILL END UP ABANDONING THEM ON THE M1. LOL
