Just a quickie...
Do you need to do anything special when changing a Battery on a is200 (ECU memory save etc) or is at simple as removing and replacing?
Thanks guys.

I had this problem, and i hate to say it but it turned out to be a front wheel bearing.
As an aside, if was these worn bearings which kept causing my discs to warp resulting in the dreaded judder...
-
Agreed, great post.
Have you notices a big difference in terms of noise?
-
I've cut the middle bit out and just used the corners.... I think it fits/looks better.
I'll try and get some pics up....
Cheers

Thanks for this.
Was this a main dealer jobby?

Same problem here and no idea what it is..... help please guys...

Hi guys
I'm having exactly the same problem and had sort of got to the warped hub diagnosis. How much did it cost for replacement hubs if you don't mind me asking.
Thanks
Adam

What diameter tubing would you use for a custom job?
Also, what other connections would you need to think about, sensors etc...?
-
Yep, I've checked that.

About a month ago I changed the front brakes on the motor (Calipers, Pads and discs) due to a sticky caliper.
Everything was fine for a few weeks but now i get a vibration under breaking (it's worst between 40-30 Mph).
Has anyone got any ideas?
Cheers

Just street/fast street use (no track days).
I was only replacing the fluid because I'm changing the calipers, thought I might as well while I was at it.
-
Totally agree with Ormi on this one - Same height front and rear defo.
-
As per the subject really... Which grade of brake fluid do people use?
I'm looking to change the fluid shortly (at the same time as replacing all 4 calipers) and as I don't know much about brake fluid wondered if there was a preferred grade or any do's/don'ts. (if so the reasons would be interesting as well).
Thanks guys.

Are you looking to sell your old alloys mate? if so, how much are you looking for?

Mine is definitely a metallic whistling (almost scraping) noise and not a wind/air whistling noise.
-
Although gently applying the handbrake would eliminate IT from the equation.
-
Very Puzzling.... I'm gonna have a look at mine this weekend.
Keep us posted on your progress chaps..
Thanks

Anthracite for me...

I'll keep a keen eye out for the diagnosis mate, will be very interesting!

Has anybody got any thoughts....
My Is has started making a whistling noise but I put it down to brakes. The noise seems to get worse as the car warms up and only kicks in at about 25-30 mph. At the slowest speed it seems like the something is catching at a certain point (i.e 'whistle' pause 'whistle' pause etc) obviously this gets faster the faster you drive until the noise seems constant.
I know I have an issue with warped discs (whether it's caused by a sticky caliper or not I need to investigate) so up to now I've put it down to this.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Cheers

Could this not just be a bit of a sticky brake?
-
I may be talking rubbish (I'm no mechanic) and I don't want to upset anyone...... but I've heard that this stuff is a bit of a gimmick...?
-
So, what do we need to do/who do we need to speak to to get hold of one of these bad boys....?
Cheers

Sorry, also.... is it 'slash' cut, can't really tell from the photo....?

Does anyone know what the best setting are so we can just take our cars to a local garage and ask them to dial them in?
