Just a quickie...
Do you need to do anything special when changing a battery on a is200 (ECU memory save etc) or is at simple as removing and replacing?
Thanks guys.
I had this problem, and i hate to say it but it turned out to be a front wheel bearing.
As an aside, if was these worn bearings which kept causing my discs to warp resulting in the dreaded judder...
Hi guys
I'm having exactly the same problem and had sort of got to the warped hub diagnosis. How much did it cost for replacement hubs if you don't mind me asking.
Thanks
Adam
About a month ago I changed the front brakes on the motor (Calipers, Pads and discs) due to a sticky caliper.
Everything was fine for a few weeks but now i get a vibration under breaking (it's worst between 40-30 Mph).
Has anyone got any ideas?
Cheers
Just street/fast street use (no track days).
I was only replacing the fluid because I'm changing the calipers, thought I might as well while I was at it.
As per the subject really... Which grade of brake fluid do people use?
I'm looking to change the fluid shortly (at the same time as replacing all 4 calipers) and as I don't know much about brake fluid wondered if there was a preferred grade or any do's/don'ts. (if so the reasons would be interesting as well).
Thanks guys.
Has anybody got any thoughts....
My Is has started making a whistling noise but I put it down to brakes. The noise seems to get worse as the car warms up and only kicks in at about 25-30 mph. At the slowest speed it seems like the something is catching at a certain point (i.e 'whistle' pause 'whistle' pause etc) obviously this gets faster the faster you drive until the noise seems constant.
I know I have an issue with warped discs (whether it's caused by a sticky caliper or not I need to investigate) so up to now I've put it down to this.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Cheers
