  1. Thanks guys, I know it's not the time for large cars but anyone who has enjoyed an LS is ( as I am ) reluctant to move it on - problem is retirement forces me to do so. If it were to get £500 I'd be pleased - 6 good tyres with it are worth nearly that! It's not been converted, but last run it had to France in July got me 29MPG at a steady 80mph over 600 miles so it's not too bad! Well, I'll give it a go on Ebay this week see what happens. Cheers, JM
  2. Hi Guys, This isn't an advert so not breaking rules! Just need a bit of advice for what you would say my 1990 LS400 might be worth so I can put a reasonable minimum value on it when posted on EBAY. 154,000 on clock; reasonable condition run it daily, have my own service record over 4 years. What you think? Grateful for any opinions. Cheers, JM
  3. WIM has been a great help & my public thanks to him for his replies. Have taken the issue back to Teesside Lexus who have agreed to re-do the 4-wheel alignment for free as a good-will genture. I'm content with that despite having lost a perfectly good front tyre. Let's hope that it's done right this time!! Cheers & thanks for replies. JohnMcK.
  4. Hi Guys, Please help before I go & spend any more money on this. LS400 - recently had Lexus Teesside ensure that the wheels had proper camber adjustment & then had Kwick-Fit ensure tracking was OK . This summer notices that one front tyre was worn on the outer rim down to the metal & the other was also wearing badly on the outer rim. So, who's at fault? The camber adjustment or the tracking? The camber work cost £200+!! and now I've a ruined tyre. No problems before having that work done ( leave well alone-eh? ) Any advice would be appreciated - friend suggested a 4-wheel alignment?? Thanks in advance. JohnMck.
