  1. Hi Steve, Absolute legend. Many thanks. This explains why I couldnt find any evidence of relays. I will look for a new stalk.
  2. Thanks for that. Do you know if they changed the location in later years? My relay box doesnt have them relays in it. The description of them also doesn't match as in Wip or Int?
  3. Hi guys hope everyone is well. Can anyone help me with the location of the wiper relay on a 2008 Is250? My wipers will only work on fast setting. I have been advised to change the relays but I have checked all 3 fuse boxes in engine bay with no luck. Can anyone please help?
  4. Ouch might just have to bite the bullet and get them patched up then if I get one.
  5. Was it a deign flaw then chris? Seems to be inside out as opposed to common place to get scuffed by external means.
  6. Yeah I have seen some Mercs especially with shocking levels of rust. As long as the main chassis is well protected that's about as much as I would hope I guess.
  7. Thanks for reply. Age ranges from a 99 to 02. Rest of the body seemed good and no signs of crash or abuse. There is an interesting video on YouTube where a guy shows inside of the sills on his own. You can clearly see the rust forming in the box section.
  8. Hi guys been looking at an is200 as a family car for the missus. I have had a good look through the buyers guide for common faults but one thing I haven't seen a lot of info on is the quality of the rust protection. I have viewed a couple with spots of rust on the sills towards the rear. After googling it, it seems to be a more common problem? A friend has an MR2. I know they are notorious for sills rusting inside out due to some sort of foam that toyota placed in the sills that retain moisture. Do the is200s suffer from the same and is any other part of the chassis prone to rust?
  9. First time for me as well lads, and no definitely not. He was standing a little away leaning on a crash barrier looking fed up!
  10. Seen a poor guy stranded on i believe it was the M1 last night. Was it anyone from the club?
  11. Hi guys looking to buy an IS200 but main concern with it is that the engine management light is on. I know its not possible to estimate cost/repair without reading the fault codes but what sort of problems generally trip the light? It has done 115k if that helps. Any help welcome.
  12. Hi guys is it possible to do this conversion? I understand the beams is a 4 cylinder, does anyone know if the bellhousing pattern is the same as the 6 cylinder engines?
  13. Ahh all makes sense now, so is the beams engine identical to the one that was available in the Mk2 rev 5 Mr2s? I recognise the engine code from a friends Mr2.
  14. Ah right never knew the beams were only 4 cylinders. Makes it easy I guess, cheers Chris
  15. Thanks for that Chris, very informative! One question though, how exactly can I tell the difference between them 2 engines if they both have beams written on them?
  16. Hi guys, always been a jap fan but been enjoying mitsubishis at the moment. Looking to make a switch to possibly an is200 but wanting to know a few things about the altezza model in particular the one with the beams engine. What sort of bhp does the engine make? I understand they are all tips, is it easy enough to convert them to manuals? Any help much appreciated.
  17. Were there any is200s/300s from the factory which were fitted with monblock calipers?
  18. Cheers mate but when you say the geometry is wrong, is this only if you fit aftermarket wheels or does it apply to the stock setup.
  19. Hello all, I am looking at buying an is200. Can anyone tell me specific things to check/look out for apart from the usual wear and tear. Also what are running costs like for parts, tyres etc? Cheers guys
