and.........
what are you using to read OBD(internet obd reader or full Dealership unit)
Tinternet one Matt
it may very well be worth getting it plugged into a Toyota one, if your throwing a CEL, then something which your tinterweb sourced reader isnt reading is ...being detected
withought a full ecu scan, you can pick at straws all year long, starting at every sensor being replaced, considering it overheated.
have you replaced the coolant sensors, and the fan controler sensor on the rad, also the O2 sensors, and the one after the cat.
those i would defo change, you say the light comes on, after the engine warms up, or is there another ....moment that triggers the ligght
however i have a sneaking feeling that it is a VVTI fault, that is being detected, did you have to rework the head at all
i need more detail
I hav'nt replaced any of the sensors yet. The rad fan kicks in out at approx the right times. The head did have a light skim, don't know how much came off. Engineer told my lad it was a knats whisker an charged him £35.00. Trouble is I dont know how big the Knat was|
ok, i would change the coolant temp sensors, as a start
Right o. Ive got a week off work week after this so i'll make a start swapping sensors round next Sunday
