  1. I'm currently working on a letter to the headquarters in California. I hope they see that the part was put in work and was not from normal wear and tear. I'll let ya know the outcome.
  2. I just took my 2000 Lexus in to get the AC looked at and they tell me that the HVAC unit is cracked and needs to be replaced. This type of thing should never happen to a unit like that, it should last at least 10 to 15 years. At this point Lexus tells me that there is nothing they can do for me, but for me to replace it at the cost of $1500 just for the unit and add on the cost of Labor of around $500. I'm very disappointed with everything that has happened and I want to share this to others. Frustrated..............
  3. To Dee I had the problem you have. I took it to Lexus and they had to put in some foam packing in the back of the dash. $200 later, no noise. Now I have a noise in the sunroof, a rattle.
  4. TO Shmerls I have the same feeling with my lexus RX300. It is sometimes hard to drive in a straight line and in the winter on the highway, it is difficult to control because of the hydro feeling on the road. I sometimes find myself going slower than others because of the fact I feel that my tires are not connecting with the road....not a good feeling. On the highway my lexus pulls badly to the left and no matter how many alignments that I get, it still is like I'm fighting every time on the highway. What can we do?????
  5. Does anyone know if you need service that is not under warranty, what does it cost for LEXUS to pick your car up, leave you a loaner, take yours back---service and return your car to your home?????? Does anyone know what the cost is if not under the 50,000 mile warranty??? Thanks
  6. Yeah, I would watch out for the AC problem. Maybe it's only mine and I should get the whole system looked at to find the true root cause. It's just frustrating, when you spend all that money and you keep having problems. In Grad school, I had a 1989 Nissan Maxima(spent $2500 for it) that had over 350,000 miles on it and I never had any problems, best car ever. Then I spent over $39,000 on a LEXUS and have had all kinds of problems.....doesn't make sense. The one thing that I look at is that a car has 1 major problem area and I'm glad its only the AC and not the engine..........with this said my Lexus should run over 500,000 miles.
  7. Hello, I have an RX300 and its had all kinds of Air Conditioning problems. First, my compressor seized up and cost about $3000 to repair and it happened 2,000 miles after the 50,000 mile warranty. Then about 1 year later I had to fix the air conditioning control, driver side blew out cold air and the passenger blew out warm air...........go figure. That was about $500. And just recently the A/C control issue happened again. So at this time I will never buy another Lexus.
