  1. Hi guys im getting another is200 and it has a sparco deep dish suede steering wheel fitted to it. I was just wondering as the standard wheel has an airbag fitted and this one doesnt will there be a warning light on the dash or a fault somewhere and if so how could i get rid of the light and still keep the sparco steering wheel. I havent got the car yet you see so havent seen if theres a light on it or not. Cheers Rob
  2. Hi guys im after the factory 6 disc cd player and tape deck. It needs to be in fully working condition as i know its a common problem for these to jam etc. Also i was wondering if i will be able to just plug it straight in and it works or is it coded? I have a 7" dvd screen headunit in the lexus im about to buy and dont want it in there and would rather have the stock factory one so if someone fancies a dvd head unit in there car let me know and we might be able to sort a deal out. Cheers Rob
  3. Cheers for the info. Im leaving it as it is at the moment as all 4 tyres are brand new but when i decide to lower it i think ill have to fit 215 35 18s to the rear so they match the front tyres and hopefully they wont rub the lip of the arch. thanks again Rob
  4. Ive just got my new wheels on the car and they seem to be fine. 18 " 8j with a 35 offset. The rears have 225 40 18 and the fronts are 215 35 18. If i wanted to lower the car in the future do you think i would need to change the rear tyres or get the lip on the arch rolled and how much could i possibly lower it by? im not looking to slam it to the floor but it has a really big arch gap at the moment and it looks *******. Cheers Rob
  5. Cheers for the info guys. Ive been looking at a few sets of wheels lately and theres a set which are 18" 8J and have an et of 35. Do you think i will be able to fit these fine with nu rubbing or scrubbing at all? says they will sit 13mm further in and also 13mm further out. Thats doesnt sound a lot but im just worried they might sit a bit to far out thats all. Also looking at a set of 18" 8J et 40 aswell but dont know which set would fit better and not rub. Sorry for all these questions by the way but had to many problems in the past with being sold wheels with wrong offsets etc. Cheers Rob
  6. Anybody know if these will fit the is200 ok with no rubbing etc? standard ride height etc. forgot to say in the previous post they wheels are 8 j wide nave an offset of 40 and when ive used the wheel calculator it says they will sit 18mm further in and stick out an extra 8 mm. Just wondering if they will still clear the arches etc. Cheers Rob
  7. Hi guys im looking at getting a set of 18" wheels for my is200 they are 8j and have a 40 offset. Will they rub or stick out to far etc? ive looked at the online wheel offset calculators and it says they will stick out 8mm more than my current wheels which are 7j and have a 35 offset. I didnt know if that extra 8mm will make a huge difference and make them catch the arch lip or something. Cheers Rob
  8. instead of changing to 215/45/17 could i not keep the 225 width and get a 45 profile instead so it would be 225/45/17. I didnt know if a 215 on an 8J wheel would be a bit stretched or not thats all. Also ive been using the wheel calculator to figure out size differences etc and the 16" lexus wheels on the car at the moment are 6.5J wide with a 50 offset. With the new wheels being a 32 offset and an 8J wheel would they still fit in the arches ok and not stick out to far and rub the arches or rub against the struts? Heres the information the calculator gave me when i typed in the dimensions of the wheels on the car at the moment and the new ones. Wheels at the moment are 205/55/16 6.5J 50 offset New wheels are 255/55/17 8J 32 offset Old New Diameter 631.9mm 679.3mm Circumference 1985.2mm 2134.1mm Poke 32.6mm 69.6mm Inset 132.6mm 133.6mm Speedo error 0% -6.98% Reading at 30mph 30mph 27.91mph Reading at 60mph 60mph 55.81mph Ride height gain 0mm 23.7mm Arch gap loss 0mm 23.7mm sorry for all the questions guys i just wanna make sure they will definitely fit with no problems before i go ahead and buy them. Thanks again Rob
  9. If i didnt change the tyres to 215/45/17 would my speedo be out by quite a bit then or something? Other than that can you see any reason why these wheels wouldnt fit the is200 or would rub etc? im really paranoid about rubbing wheels as i was caught out on the past when i bought some wheels for my skyline which i was told would definitely fit and found they were way to wide. Cheers Rob
  10. cheers for the information mate. They are 5 x 114.3 stud pattern and i know ill have to buy the correct wheel nuts and get the right sized spigot rings for the center bore but i was more worried about width etc as i dont want any rubbing or anything on the arch or the suspension struts as i had wheels on my skyline in the past that rubbed when you went over a bump and just hated driving it in the end. I have the 16" lexus wheels on my is200 at the moment and was told they were a 50 offset which is why i thought the 32 offset on these new wheels wouldnt fit. So just to double check width wise with an 8J wheel and 32 offset and 225/55/R17 tyres all round you dont think i will have any rubbing issues or anything like that? Thanks again Rob
  11. Hi guys ive been looking around at the information on wheels and offsets etc and ive been offered a set of wheels and was wondering if they would fit they are 17" wheels that are 8J with a 32 offset and have 225/55/R17 tyres on them. Will these fit and if so will i need spacers or something as i dont want to have to mess about with rolling arches or anything like that. If there not an easy fit i wont bother getting them. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Rob
