  1. Good Evening, my 2006 IS250 has the radar cruise control fitted, my question is the front badge with L on it has become tarnished, and has a cloudy covering, does this badge have anything to do with the cruise or are the sender units either side, the drawing in the manual isn't clear. I was hoping I could use a T cut type formula to tidy it up,

    Any advice appreciated

  2. Good Morning all, I purchased the 05 IS 250 that had a link posted on this site, I'm really impressed with the car, one issue is when I put the car into reverse the camera brings the image from behind but the lines seem all over the place and the words "guidance unavailable" is on the screen. I understand it may need to be recalibrated, but I can't find out how to do it, any advice please

  3. Good Evening

I've connected the phone Bluetooth to the car and it's confirmed that it's connected, I can also make and receive calls, I tried to move my contacts list across and as soon as I try it seems like the Bluetooth disconnects as it turns off on my phone, has anyone else had this issue. As per the manual the engine was running whilst I tried, any advice welcome

  4. A quick update for you all, I collected vehicle on Friday and I love it, I keep finding toys I didn't realise it had, I've used black leather revono on the seats today and they have come up like new.

The only issue I have is the manual for the sat nav is missing, so I'm struggling to set it up along with the phone etc, I have posted on this site to see if anyone can assist.

I found the vehicle through this thread so thank you very much.

  5. In relation to the link from linas.p and the comment about the vehicle being a unicorn vehicle if it had a moon roof, I can confirm it does have a moon roof as I have purchased it today, it's an amazing vehicle, all it needs is the headlight lens  to be sorted as they have gone cloudy and a piece of chrome looking plastic trim on the boot to be changed as it has faded, the dealer will sort the lights out,  I collect it on Thursday, I can't wait

  6. Hi I had a problem with my ABS, it is a RX 300 model year 2001, it was activating when I pulled away slowly, I took it into the Lexus dealership and they found that the airgap!!! on the sensor was incorrect, they cleaned and reset it and no problems over the last 8 months. it could be the same fault but causing a slightly different effect.

  7. Boxbrownie the way you described is what the dealer explained, they said they also cleaned and adjusted the parking brake, I have to say it now is back to normal and a pleasure to drive, Im pleased the dealer cleaned and reset the sensor, as Im sure a lot would have fitted a new part, so well done to Lexus Coventry.

Patch 234 to answer your question my vehicle is smoke grey (not the official name but it describes it well). I have never seen a white one.

So the play your mechanic found in the driveshaft was "normal" I assume?

I find it odd that a miss-gapped ABS sensor could cause a vibration unless of course it was telling the ECU that you had wheel slip and was sending information to the rear brake to "grab" or apply slightly as it does in "anti skid" mode.

Did the dealer explain this in more detail to you? It would be useful to know exactly........

    Best regards David
