  1. Hey mate, thanks for the reply. How do red stuff pads fair up for every day use?

Will standard pads work with the discs also?

Also do you think this will be ok bearing in mind I've just had standard discs and pads fitted on the rear....

    Thanks again. Harmeet

  2. Hi All,

Sorry if people have answered these questions already...need to replace discs and pads all round, car is at 70K and after inspecting the discs/pads all round they definitly need replacing, anyway my local mechanic who I've used for years did the rear discs and pads for £235 - does that seem a reasonable price? I'm guessing it will be a similar price for the fronts if not more?

It's going in for front discs and pads next week but I was debating buying some EBC discs, would this be ok considering I've just had standard discs fitted on the rear? Was thinking it's more crucial on the front to have high performance discs. Also anything else I need bear in mind using EBC discs?

Also can I use standard pads on the EBC discs as I heard that the green stuff pads wear quickly.

    Advice much appreciated!

    Kind Regards, H

  3. Hi mate - did you ever get this job done? My car is out of warranty so bit concerned as I have the same issue! Do you know which parts were replaced? Kind Regards. H

I've had that problem; kept bringing it to the dealer to get it sorted. Lexus Liverpool did the sanitisation three times for free, and changed the clean air filter twice as well. Problem still persists though. Bloke at Lexus told me that a couple of the cars have had this problem, and he has had to change the whole main filter unit/cooler thing, sits deep to the grille. Big job, costs over a grand, free under warranty. I've just extended mine, and will wait for a month or so, and have been assured by the service manager that if I come in with a bad smell (so to speak), he will sort it out for me under warranty. Extending the warranty costs £400 though. But I guess you're covered for much more, have RAC cover etc.

At the moment I have the climate control on constantly, with aircon switched on. It seems to work, the smell comes very occasionally. But as soon as you turn off the a/c, it again smells like your grandmother's urinary tract infection.

Will update once I get the job done.

  4. Hey all..

Either I'm imagining things or going just going plain mad....should these light up?

Between the seat heaters controls the little image of the seat with the fan?

And also on the cd slot is there meant to be a light that is constantly on illuminating the cd slot apart from the ones on the sides for when you hit load....

If anyone is able to check for me that would be great as I'm sure they lit up at one point!

    Cheers. H

  5. Firstly apologies I posted this also in teh IS250 forum but realised should have gone here!

Anyone tried Pirelli P Zero Rossa? One of the few that come in both the front and rear size, the 245 rear is a tough size it seems to get hold of. If they were availbale in GSD3 AS would go for those but Goodyear don't do it and don't want to alter the size etc.

Am particularly concerned about road noise although they seem to have a better rating road noise compared to the OEM RE050A. (see tyre reviews)

I guess the ultimate would be the RE050A Pole Position?

Any advise? The Rossa's are £550 from K Fit if you order online!

    Cheers. H
