Hi all,
Quick question. Is the footbrake on the IS250 SE Auto meant to creak/make a ratchet sound when you press? I presume so as it's essentially the same principle as a handbrake...
Thanks.

Hi Spikes!
That's great to hear - I didn't want to go down the LED route so wanted to just get clear white halogen sidelights.
So the Philip's Blue Vision aren't even blue?!
I think I'll try an Osram Cool Blue first as I have Nightbreaker headlights, if they turn out to be too blue I'll go for the Philips!

Ahhh when you say rubbish do you mean they are just like normal? I mean are they any whiter atall? I don't want anything too blue!

Hey all,
Has anyone tried these? Or have any pics? I have osram nightbreakers which are great on my IS250 now but need some matching sidelights.
It says they have a blue tint - just want to know how much of a tint it is as I don't want them to be too blue!

Hey all,
Quick ques...anyone who has an SE model, how does your audio sound? Am I right in thinking there is no center speaker and there should be 'bass' speakers in effect in the rear parcel shelf?
My fronts sound quite bassy but the rears don't seem quite as good.
Cheers. H

Do these bulbs cost £80? If so definitely go for the HIDs, you'll easily get a quality kit for £80 - they last longer than normal bulbs and the difference in light output is staggering.
If you're worried about fitting, they are an absolute doddle to fit, I did mine in less than 20 minutes - only thing on the IS250 is that the engine bay is all covered but I'm sure one of the IS250 owners on here would be able to help with the removal of them if that is a concern.
Hmmm it appears that price was for the IS200. Any general advice on non HID bulbs?

Welcome to LOC :)
Never heard of an Osram Nightbreaker before, but have you considered getting an HID kit? They're not expensive at all anymore and the difference from halogen bulbs is unbelievable........
Hmm I did debate it but HIDs are still £80+? Ideally want to just do the lot for £80 with normal but whiter bulbs...

Hi all,
Just bought an 06 IS250 SE Auto. Really pleased with my purhcase - only thing I noticed was headlamps arn't great. Have Osram Nightbreakers on my Accord and and they are much whiter/brighter!
I understand the standard dipped headlights for normal night driving is H11 (similar to the Accord Fogs) which I can get an Osram Nightbreaker for. Any advice on the others and the correct fitments?

Oh and any advice on some whiter puddle lights for the mirrors?
Any advice much appreciated- would be interested to hear what everyone has tried!
Kind Regards. H

Hi all,
Just thought I'd share my experience! Purchased an IS250 last month, was 3 weeks out of warranty when I purchased it and purchased outside of the Lexus network. Car had a full service history every 10K miles from Lexus Milton Keynes and had alloys replaced under Warranty 18 months ago. Noticed these ones were also showing similar signs of blistering.
Now registered the car at Lexus Bracknell who logged a call to head office and they said they wouldn't be able to repalce them as a goodwill gesture because the car wasn't bought from Lexus. Bit annoying as I would have thought a set of alloys that were replaced 18 months ago would be subject to goodwill as that is by far the quickest corroison rate I've heard of. They said the alloys would have only had warranty for a year and there is no defect with them as it's purely a cosmetic issue?!
Quite annoying as when I bought the car it had only just been serviced by Lexus, just happened to be at a non Lexus Dealer! Initially they said aslong as the car had been serviced with Lexus every 10K miles then it would be fine - however head office then came back and said no because I purchased the car outside of Lexus.
Best of luck getting them replaced though - you should be ok if your in warranty!
