  1. :rolleyes: depends,,,,,really big bonnet.....usually have to blend colour onto top off wings etc..so theres no shadin difference £300 sounds alright.....basecoat £40 a litre and a laquer pack £23 .so a £100 all for materials before you start....i hate paintin bonnets....its the focal point off the car really
  2. cheers..lads.......hope to be some help......yipeeeeeeee.....as for hats and horses....retired this year...absolute burst my rear end last yr...keepin the gypos at bay by over pricin everythin they bring to me...put it this way there yard is full off unfinished/painted motors....

  3. as above....internet probs , ex wife givin me grief .life in general....had the lexus 6mths now.love it.....no major spends except two rear calipers that shattered when changin the bads,and a btm balljoint....to be expected....goin to keep her plain , sensible...been spendin most off my time and cash on this..stripped, scrapped and painted inside and out...waxoiled..shes gettin the works

    complete oposite from the is200 ....the girl detests it...but its been a winter project and to be quite honest . hopin this summer....sittin on a f plate.true classic 80s mobile...

  4. and boy did i like it . i had to be in dundee for the weekend....finished paintin a car on fri night and left kilmarnock about 20past 8.and hit dundee at ten. Not bad timing really......comfy and quick once it got up there.....95 constant........love the car 255 miles to 40 quid not bad i thought

  5. back brake pads have been scrubbin ....managed to get a set o pads cheap through work .....chapped the retiang pin out and the lug snapped off the caliper........few chosen swear words....drilled the top at both sides and placed a split pin through both pads as well as the pin at the bottom .tackled the other side and bolocks it happened again.......there holdi but you can feel them tuggin when brakin .........need to rear calipers arghhhhhhhhhhhhh

  6. :whistling: took the car to work and baked it for an hour just to cure the paint correctly.........then washed it, pullin out from the wash bay the rear gave that long forgotton (missed sideways )action ...that was it . it all came back, spent the next ten mins gettin to know my car ...purely for saftey reasons.....do-rings , burn outs and general joyridin .All on private property off course..... mental.drove like miss daisy all the way home . just in case i had broken somethin.... :unsure:
  7. canter, the door panel anyway ...theres the usual hidden screw at the interior handle . just pop open the little cover behind this. also a screw in the armrest part .lookin down you will see it ...now the cover at the hadle pops out and can be a bit off a bitch ......pop the interior speaker cover off at the A post on the door.....pull the bottom off the panel away from the door and upwards.....the clips are the best i have cme across. they dont break .i have had mine off a few times......as for the window . could be nasty .cant help there. i replaced my door handle and it was brutal

  8. front passenger wheel was still sittin a half inch back . something was still bent .......managed to get a strut , upper and lower wishbone for 40 quid from the breakers . lets just say it wasnt easy ......but its done and the wheel is sittin a lot better. def need the trackin done though . its sittin on four new rubbers and i aint scrubbin them.
