  1. Hi, Hope someone can help me. My battery keeps going flat. I took it to a local dealer that checked it with a device to see whether it was the alternator or the battery. When he tested it he stated the machine thinks the engine is running when its not. The one thing he did notice was a gold block attached to the battery and nothing else. He thinks this may be the problem but did not know what it was. I dont want to take it off if it does something. It is a gold block with the follwoing words on it GAU DONQ LIH SUPER-MR. It also has an LED on it that flashes red and green and the word above it says pilot. I really dont know what this is or why the battery keeps going flat. If i jump it and run it for a while it will start again but oif i leave it overnight it goes flat and wont start. I will br grateful for any help that could be offered...   3. Hi Everyone, Yesterday i finally bought my first lexus. It has been a long wait but its finally over. I have bought a 51 plate IS200 S in metalic Green and i cant stop smiling. I think i must have been around 16 or 17 when i saw the LS400 on TV. Imediatly i took notice and said to myself i will own one of those. Then came the IS200 this was the Lexus i would drool over every time i saw one. Always dreaming of actually drving one. Told everyone by te time i was 30 i would have one. Well i am now 30 and with a few months to spare i have one. I have so many plans for her but not sure where to start or whats going to work. I look forward to reading through some of the post on the forum to finaise my ideas. Anyway thats a bit about me and though it nice to say hi. Kind Regards, Phil
  4. Hi All, After many years of dribbling over every lexus i saw i have finally got one. I have a 51 plate IS200 S in Green (ok probably not whats is actually called). This is my first post on the forum. Although i did not pay too much for it it does need a few bits. The front passenger light has condenstaion in it and the raer off side light cluster has a crack in the bottom of the glass that is nearly broken. These are just a case of replacement parts which i will be doing very soon however i feel my worst issue is the clutch. I find the biting point of the clutch very high and when driving it almost feels like i have a kangaroo running the engine when changing gear. Does this mean the clutch is on the way out or is it that my driving is just rubbish...lol. I have not driven a car with a clutch so high before or had this problem. I have had many cars and not had this problem before. I have read a couple of posts that suggest it may not be my driving but would welcome any advise that is offered. I hope to modify the car over the next year or so though i just cant seem to settle on how. Still have a rather large smile on my face everytime i look at the car or get in to drive. (Im not crazy honest) Thank you all for reading.
