As far as I am aware, L-sportline no longer produces the roof spoiler for the IS. Stock is hard to find apparently.

Ordered an L-sportline roof spoiler, shipped to Australia. Delays in receiving the product. Several weeks later it arrived.

oh here is another problem i forgot to ask when i installed some aftermarket
headlight bulbs into the car it is easily blown i was told that was because the wires to the bulb can't handle the power from the after market bulb i was wondering if anyone would know how to solve this problem i've wasted to much money just replacing bulbs
\
Does not make sense
Are you blowing the same brand of bulbs? Are they blowing on one side only? Have you touched the bulbs (glass section) during installation?

Sounds like the problem I had with mine after a service. It was air pockets in the cooling system. The coolant was flushed during the service. I returned the car and they bled the system by having the front of the car on ramps.
Problem fixed. A possible quick fix, try running the car for a while with the heater controls set to heat.

The Altezza RS200 and IS200 have different mountings from the CV joint onto the diff housing. Altezza 6 bolts, Lexus 4 bolts.
Info and photos can be found here

I've installed these twin horns. Powered from the existing horn loom.

Anyone have a C-One radiator cooling panel on their IS200? I'm interested in a photo. Thanks.

Anyone here have an Lsportline roof spoiler on their IS?
Just like to know the colour of a raw unpainted Lsportline roof spoiler.

@ Stephen - how low is that rear, or is that pic some serious body roll?!
The rear is approx 2.5" lower than standard....and some body roll included when the shot was taken.

Was deciding between black or silver when Lexus released 100 Yellows into Australia. A bit of attention is always good :P
It all comes down to personally choice......but a yellow will look nicer with a bodykit .
Be daring, go for it :D

this happens on mine sometimes straight after start-up.
Can it damage anything if left?
I would be concerned having any air in the cooling system as this may cause "hot-spots" around the engine block as the air circulates.
-
Interesting topic. Good luck. Hope all goes your way! :)

The ECU in the IS200 is located here.

When solved please confirm. Mine´s been that way forever...sounds for a while, then doesn´t ????
Confirmed - air in the heater core. The dealer bled the coolant lines. Took several days to rectify in my case. They usually jack up one end of the car to remove the air pockets. However, since the car is lowered they were unable to jack it high enough, so it took longer.
Dealer asked me to check it over the next few days just to ensure it's all clear :D
You will notice the blurbling sound just as you start the car and/or while accelerating.
-
The car is still with the dealer. They are having problems removing the air trapped in the coolant line
-
I don't think there is a bleed valve so I would get the dealer to do it, you shouldn't have to waste your time correcting their mistakes - unless you have a long drive to your dealer?
Will notify the dealer tomorrow. Thanks.
-
I take it the coolant was changed on this service?
Yes, it was. Only started hearing the sounds after the service. Can I bleed the coolant lines, or do I need to return it to the dealer?
-
Possible. Put the temp on full for a bit and see if it clears
I tried that, but I can still hear the water/air flowing
-
On the way home from a 60,000 km service, I noticed there was an unusual sound coming from behind the dash/centre console.
It's more noticeable when accelerating from stationary and just when I start the engine. It sounds like air being sucked into a tube.
Could this be air in the cooling system? Since the coolant flows behind the heater (for heating), could this be the flow of bubbles/air pockets behind the console that I am hearing?
-
No, the L-Sportline roof spoiler is an actual wing allowing airflow under and thru.
-
I've only seen either brembo slotted (part no. FS00069) or drilled (part no. FD00069) rotors as replacement for the IS and not both.
Do you have the part no for the drilled and slotted rotor? Where did you purchase them from? You can PM me the details. Thanks.
