  1. This link may help (it's a US site, but will give you an idea what is done).

    https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/info/my-lexus/service/maintenance-schedule.do

Also note service records are transmitted once at the end of every day to Lexus if they fail for any reason they will never be re-transmitted and they have to be inspected at the servicing dealership, I had a missing service record and had to ring the Dealership for confirmation.

  2. I don't go to the main dealership just to get the dealership stamps with the age of my car it will add very little to the resale value. My car has done 71K and as others have said better value could be found at independent garages. However for me it's all about respect, trust and good service, the dealership treats me fairly and explains exactly what needs to be done at a reasonable price. If the price is too high I can simply walk away but I have never had to do this. At the end of the day it's personal choice but for me I'm happy to stay at my local Lexus dealership.

  3. I don't have the 13/14 version so can't confirm the removal of the 'I Agree', hopefully another member can confirm/deny this. I think this will be unlikely but I stand to be corrected. I upgraded from the 2006 version to a later version with the set destination on the move update and once I inserted the disk the firmware update screen appeared. However if you have purchased the car from someone that had the 13/14 and changed this back to the 2006 version on sale then the firmware will remain and no loading screen will be shown. To check this try and set a destination via touch screen when the car is moving.

  4. Upon inserting a new disk the sat-nav checks the disk for a new firmware release if the firmware is later than the one you have a loading firmware screen will appear (this is obvious). If the disk is not genuine then an old firmware will be present as newer firmware checks the disk is not a copy and fails to work. Try reinserting the disk to force a check. 06/07 to E18 defiantly should force an update. Last resort is to remove power to the sat-nav via fuse or Battery disconnect, note this will wipe any stored settings and updates to the firmware so after 30 seconds reconnect and this should force an update to whatever firmware is on the new disk. The I Agree screen can't be removed however E18 firmware will have the ability to set a destination on the move.

    Hope that helps.

  5. You can use Toyota Techstream software to see how many keys are registered to the car and try and add the additional fob. You will need to buy the cable and software from eBay (Mini VCI cable for around £20) There are some videos on youtube showing how this is done. However if the fob is registered to another car I don't think you will be able to do anything! Alternatively a visit to a local dealership would be able to confirm this.

  6. SE-L with Multimedia is the one to go for. The SE-L is the top of the range and is rarer than the other more common SE models. The Multimedia pack was around £3,000 extra from new and adds upgraded audio system (DVD and extra speakers) sat-nav, Bluetooth, and reversing camera so well worth it when purchasing second hand. The SE-L from memory gives Walnut inlays, memory seats, Dipping mirrors, heated/cooled seats but plenty of other threads in here detailing the differences. 50K is nothing on these cars 100K plus then expect price drops as exhausts etc may start to need replacing (expensive to replace), but still 100K is fine. Auto is always the way to go on these cars as the tax is cheaper! plus the auto box is fantastic. As Creo states expect 30's on local runs and 35 plus on runs (not the car to get if mpg is important). Hope that helps.

  7. Not the salesman and referring to the new IS220/250 not sure which year they came in (last year?) but the ones with the indicators on the wing mirrors and the alloys look completely different to my 250 SE-L standard fit alloys. Maybe its too early to tell but lets hope they have fixed it. Again not that this helps everyone with the old style alloys. Would be interesting to here from anyone who has these blistering problems on the newer models.
