Well I have finally got my Is200 se on the road, had to change the rear pads & discs, less than £100 brand new, change all spark plugs £25 brand new, change a coil £20 used then I had a leak in the one of the hoses with water gushing out....soon resolved with dry ginger apparently its better than radweld, recommended by a mechanic......it is soooooo nice to drive now. Keep you all posted with how things go on.....Oh but I cant get my cd player to take cd's, oh well not the end of the world....

Hi just had my rear discs & pads changed. Drove it for a good 30 miles without any problems apart from the rubbing noise of new pads ? On the way back it was losing power & felt like it was juddery, like something in the fuel line ? Trc was flashing & engine management light was flashing & occassionaly staying on for long periods in between the flashing ??? Any ideas ????

It had been sitting for a good 6-8 months on a drive before we got it, so it is the first time its had petrol in it & been driven .

Just taken the car for an MOT, they could'nt keep it going. They eventually realised it was over heating & they think it may be the heating sensor ??? Is that the same as a thermostat ? Any ideas where I can get one & how hard are they to replace ? I've not had chance to drive it yet !!!!

They said it was over heating, but it was a kwik fit garage that was doing the MOT ! They dont do anything apart from mot's, tyres & exhausts. So its still there for now, the said they would have a look at it later today ?

I have found someone who will supply pads & discs with postage for under £60.00 & found someone who will fit them for under £30.00, thats what I call a good deal.

2 weeks ago i posted i had recieved a notice for jumping a red light. As the camera that "got me" was at the site of some major road works and temp lights were in operation, i asked for the photo of the "crime" i recieved nothing. Last week i got a letter saying they were no longer proceeding with it.

All well and good until this morning when i got another one, same junction as last time. The temp lights have now been removed but due to the road works theres lots of congestion at the junction. I have requested the picture, and whilst on the phone was told i was doing 12 mph 33 seconds after the lights changed.

i know i would of never intentionally jumped a light, certainly not 33 seconds after it went red, the junction in question is on a long straight road and i can see the lights for a good half mile away so would have had plenty of time to stop.

i can only think i had crossed the line into the junction to turn right, and had to wait for trafic to clear until i could turn. If the lights went red after i has already over the line then surely i should clear the junction, as long as its safe to do so. the junction is not cross hatch with yellow boxes, so therefore i can enter it.

I am curently awaiting the picture but i think its happened as i described above, so any advice on it would be helpfull am i in the wrong or was i doing what is right ??. if i think i was were i was in the junction then staying put when the lights changed would have caused more of a problem than moving.

I think you should ask for it to go to court & get one of these no win no fee solicitors & argue your case. If you were over the lights before they turned red & you only had to move because of an Emergency unit then I think you would have a good case.

Has anyone got the cheapest garage in or around wigan area for rear discs & brake pads ? Cheapest quote I've had so far is £240.00 !

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN GET A MASTER KEY (3 BUTTONS) FOR THE IS200 ? I HAVE JUST BOUGHT THE CAR WITH ONLY ONE KEY (2 BUTTONS) & THE DEALER CANT HELP ME.
