  1. Quick Update, Hopefully going to see a Blue Sport Navigator at the weekend, fingers crossed
  2. Hi All, Sorry to revive the thread but just got back from holiday. No luck as yet ormi, looked at another Silver one, was about 2k after trade in but was rusty which I notice is not something they are known for.... Seriously every nut and bolt + both sills were scabby. And a Graphite one (I agree Rob) but it looked as if it had been used as a bumper car. The good news is that I now have £3K cash so I am able to look at slightly better ones.
  3. Cheers Ormi, Well looked at one yesterday, not sure of the reasons (Might have been the sea air) but every single nut and bolt I could see was red with rust, even down to the nuts holding the airbox on! Also just missed out on a Blue Sport from Coventry, gutted but still looking.
  4. Hi, I had this exact argument with one of the green ones I saw, the owner kept saying it was a sport, checked the logbook and sure enough it was a 'S', also cheers for the links!
  5. I did call them initially, they wanted to bring the car to me, or meet somewhere in High Wycombe!. Off to Southampton Monday to look at a slightly less dodgy one.
  6. Just a quick update, going to see this one Monday, http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...icleRegLetter=Y What does everyone think?
  7. Dribble, I am a fan of the wind deflectors too. I'm going to have to expand my search, seen one in Leeds for sale.
  8. Cheers all looks like thats another two off the list, I will pass on the link just in case, it rings every alarm bell to me, others might not be so lucky.
  9. Hi All, Again in my quest for a IS200 or an Altezza I have come across this website, http://www.bargaincarsdirect.co.uk/156259/aboutus.htm While they do seem to have some nice metal in stock but I’m a little worried about their Terms and Conditions, basically they seem to have dismissed any comeback that you would normally get with a dealer, If you scroll down on the about us page you can see them. Is this Legal? why would an honest dealer remove your statutory rights? and has anyone had any experience of this? Thanks
  10. Cheers again, I think I will take a look at that one on the link cheers, and God abbott that was one hell of a trip! Im looking to spend around 3K, I have 2.5k already in cash plus my car which I am trying to sell in the mean time.
  11. Im in no rush so saving the cash and selling my car, The S was a 1999 V IS200 S, 124,000 Miles, New cambelt and water pump, Issues were DIY referbed wheels and a fair few car park dings, no history to speak of either. I am ideally holding out for a Sport but as you say I might find a SE, only really looked at the S as I didnt know what model it was at the time and it was under a mile away.
  12. Chees for the replies Guys, I am putting the Prelude up for sale, just giving it some TLC at the moment, I have just seen a "S" model in moderate condition on a V and asking around £2700, went to see it as it was local, also was the third Green one I have seen As for a LE I have seen one on eBay, full leather etc, little out of my price range though and cheers gji25 sounds interesting but also sounds rare. Ah well back to trawling the net :)
  13. Hi All, Just having a few problems finding a IS200, I have 2.5k and my Prelude to PX (Worth about £800-£1200 depending who you ask) and still seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel, two so far, one accident damaged and poorly repaired and the other with 200,000 miles on the clock. The rest are 60+ miles away; am I being too narrow minded only looking for a Sport? or generally too fussy? Not to offend anyone but I’m really not too keen on the cream interior ones either, which isn’t helping. Cheers

    Hi All

Hi all, I am currently looking for a IS200 or an Altezza, must say I have looked through the buyers guide and done a fair bit of ghosting before I’ve registered and thanks all for the info. Just a few quick questions I would like your opinions on, Firstly coming from a VTEC Honda Prelude MPG can’t really get any worse and I am seeing around 280 miles to a £50 tank mixed driving , is the IS/Altezza going to be a problem? Secondly Self Servicing, I’m fairly handy with the spanners so basic servicing is not a problem, is this ok to do or am I likely to incur huge expense as I snap off a brittle coil pack whilst changing the plugs or something? Also the general feel is around £300 for a Cambelt change and £300 for a clutch, is this about right? I would like an Altezza to maintain the performance that I am used to but cannot really stretch the extra 2 Grand, plus I would end up putting in the Half leather from the IS200 in. Any thoughts? Cheers Adam
