I have a GS 300 Year 2005. Runs great,

I wonder if I should install asupercharger or a double turbo ?

The car I had b4 was GS 300 year 1997, with double turbo, that was a fast pick up.

But I ask does it use more gas ?

Shocks and struts,,, I know that sometimes different types of oil will coagulate, get lumpy but never thought that coolant will coagulate if mixed.

Gotta be careful these cars cost. Lot and cooling is et important.

What's the difference between coolant and anti freeze so are they he same ?

My car a Lexus gs300 year 2005. Started pulling to the left. This was annoying. I balanced the wheels a d aligned the car, but it still

Kept pulling to the left. I changed all the tires. I had 245x 45x18

I got some Dunlop Japan , 275x40x18 and changed all four, even tho I noticed the left front tire may have been thebaddie.

Car runs nice now. Are these sizes good ? Or should I put smaller tires in front ?

Don't worry you are all mistaken. I have a 2007 gs450h, my wife was driving the car a few months back but I had the key in my pocket which we both forgot about. The wife parked on double yellows to drop me off at a post office to post a parcel and sat with the engine running, no problem. I went in the post office and my wife spotted a traffic warden, in her wisdom she decided to drive around the block to avoid a ticket and low and behold she got about 15 yards and the car ground to an immediate halt with key not detected displayed on the dash! Needless to say she had a few choice words when I returned to the car but we still avoided a ticket! :iraqi-info-minister:

Reason I ask this is I parked in multi storey car park went n got ticket and kids out of car got a bit distracted and went up town......got back to car hour n half later to find I hadn't switched it off so car was running and open just waiting to be pinched luckily it wasn't ...but just wondering how long car would drive for without the key being present

Well I was gone for about 10 mins before she drove off but the car actually died while she was driving, she thought the car had broken down maybe its a time and movement activation?

Before your key died did you not get the battery low warning, mine went in November but I got 3 weeks warning on the trip computer, I bought the replacement but was too tight to replace it until the old one ran out B)

Like don't wait until your tires show the threadbefireyiuchsnge them,

an I buy a key in the USA for it ?m and then can Toyota programme it there. We have no Lexus shop as such.

Hi Newbie,

I have a Lexus GS 300 Yr 2005 . Funny thing the seller told me it was a 2008, but seat belt clues and no lights on the door mirror

speaks 2005.

It looks nice and rides well but I had an uncomfortable and puiilsh drive, Yes the tyres.

Changenthem after awhile and she ries very well.

Then there is this small star burst crack on the windscreen which obviously have been repaired prior to delivery to me,

Then the Low Pressure lights was staying on, I tried to get them off but failed, seems kile the sensors !!!!

And this was supposed to be a new car that the guy sold me,

The odometer was very low.

Not enough, sure My parts guy in ON canada checked and gave me Part Nos and prices,

only he had to look under 2006 as nothing showed for 2005.

In Trinidad wher I live I gpot different part nos fro Toyota.

I can see the logitude and Latitude of where I am . But what good is that to me ?

Can it be made to show local street etc, and can it be helpful in locating the vehicle if stolen, Perhaps by some addition euipment

like a tracker in conjunction with the GPS it has?

One year ago I bought a supposedly New car from a Showroom in London.

I live in the Caribbean.

The slaesman Importer told me that it was a display model a new car a 2008 Model.

Further checks and observation reveals that it was a 2005 model, with an amazing low mielage, about

700 miles.

The seat belt screams 2005.noticeably the tags from the front belts were missing.

Off course there are the chasis numbers and mOdel number etc,

Can anyone help me to find out if this vehicle was purchased New or if was a ised second hand vehicle.

I can supply the chasis No. if required.

My Dear Fellows,

Sometime ago I joined the club but got no response.

I am back here to try again, My problem is that from the day I got my GS 300 ( Yr, 2005) slightly used from the UK,

I noticed that the Low Pressure warning Light was on. As expected I put pressure in to 30 lbs, The light styaed ON.

It appears to accept the signal as I try to reset it but quickly returns to show Low Pressure,

The warning red Triangle aslo comes ON and stays ON.

My tryes are pressured if 30 lbs is Good, and I drive about but that light is annoying, and depictsa fault.

Is 30 lbs sufficient or should I put in more say 35 lbs?

Or Do you think as I have been told that the two sensors are bad.

Checks with Toyota here in Trinidad say that they are bad and should be replaced,

If so I will like to know the part Numbers and costs, and is there someone who can get them for me?

Just bought my car, its a rhd from japan, trying to do the brakes, rears were easy, then I hit a problem with the fronts. Its got a hub spacer on it, seems to have some sort of socket key that has 4 pins on it? The holes are about 1.8->2cm apart. Ive tried a few different things, hitting it with a hammer and punch, using a adjustable angle grinder wrench, and making my own tool, ive torqued on it pretty hard and it wont budge even with penetrating oil.

I believe it needs a special socket to get this off with an impact wrench. Anyone know how I can get these off?

2/ The chassis number does not appear to exist and seems to be 1 digit missing.

3/ If the date on the rear seatbelt is 2005 then the car is either a 2004/2005 car or it has had the rear belts changed at some point....possibly following a collision.

I think I would be questioning the supplier of the car and possibly contacting the police.

I only believe that it came from London, and the sellers name and sticker name ( THe same)

stays on all the time. I have put pressure in the tyres.

and I press the pin under the dash, It says pressure initialise, so it the right switch being pressed,

I hold for 1 minute or a little more, I release the switch and the light stays on

I dont like to see a warning light ON.

What to do ?

I put 33 lbs at first, Now I haveput in 28 lbs, on all four tyres,

[i need some help to find out the Year of Manufacture of my (supposedly new) Lexus GS 300

I purchased the car in April this year 2009, and according to the ODO meter it was doing some 700 miles.

Good ! Then I had some concerns, the seller said that the car came from the UK, which I have reason to believe,

He said it was a 2008 model, I have reason to doubt that,

The car runs well with some minor problems,
