If u can get a good condition one off a scrappy for £20 to £30, I'd go with that.

Have you an aftermarket or original head unit.

If it's an aftermarket one, the reason why the rear speakers are not working could be that the Lexus original amp in under the glove box, needs to be by-passed.

Yes, a sticky caliper would cause vibration through gearstick and steering wheel.

Also would cause car to pull to one side slighty.

Easiest way to check is to feel is your wheel hot after driving.

Second easiest way is to jack car up and see which wheel won't spin freely

This can also be knocked back with a piece of wood and a hammer

I'd say temporary if u had a hole in your tyre.

It hasn't knackered my tyres anyway.

I had same problem and must be nearly a year now since I put that foam stuff in and I've had no leak since.

Check your water pump for a leak

Or google album cover and copy image.

Then right click on album in iTunes.

Click on " get info"

Right click on square that says album cover and paste.

Can't remember off hand but seen as no one answered, i think there is a long 10mm bolt somewhere. The powersteering one can be removed by loosening the powersteering pump. Sorry I can't be any more help at the moment.

You've nothing to lose by taking the car back to them. Point out everything wrong and don't let them brush u off with excuses. The last thing u want after spending your money on a supposedly roadworthy car is to have to spend more getting it right. Sounds like they didn't even look under the bonnet. Don't take any sh*t from them. Good luck with it anyway.

Can't believe a garage would sell a car without changing the timing belt. I presume u got a guarantee with the car. The people that sold u the car surely wouldn't want a timing belt breaking on a car that is under guarantee. And yes I would take the car back.

Could need a spray of contact cleaner on connectors

It might sort it self out after a while.

I think it could have something to do with the ecu resetting itself.

I've heard of something similar happening when the Battery was disconnected.

Check power steering by locking each way.

Check rear hub bushes.

Gearboxs in a lot of is's are poor

Check for clutch judder.

That's just a few off hand for the moment.

Reliable they may be but there are several known issues and price of parts from lexus is pretty steep.

Go for the eBay ones. There's nothing wrong with them. I use them aswell as plenty of other people on here. Just cause lexus overcharge for parts doesn't mean they are definitely going to be any better. Who knows, they may all come from the same factory

on ebay lots of us got them from "AUTOPROCHASSIS"

That's the one I found but was a bit put off by his negative feedback reading delivery times from Taiwan and not Fife as stated on eBay

don't be put off, i'm in ireland and had mine in 4 days. i've got other stuff off this guy aswell and never a problem.

never got charged customs duty either and items seem good quality. :)

Is it the ride that has become rough (ie hard) or is it just a thumping noise on poor surfaces? Have you checked the ARB's for worn bushes or not torqued up properly.

No ken the ride is not hard and there is no thumping noise.

Something just feels a bit loose on poorer surfaces, no actual noise, just doesn't feel right. I've checked the arb bushes and I can't see any obvious wear but i'm not 100% sure how to spot wear on them. If there was play there, would it be very noticeable?

Also would the arb cause the rough feeling or would it be just sway going around bends?

@parthiban,I'll try 35psi later but I agree, I can't see 2psi causing a rough feeling at the wheels.

@kenfoxy, hi ken, the thud seems to be from both front wheels.

It's kind of like something low down at the whole front is not as tight as it should be.

I posted here a while back about a bong sound I was hearing sometimes when taking off in reverse and sometimes coming to a stop.

This sound seems to come from low down at the front also.

Whether or not this is related I don't know.

Have you recently changed the tyres? Could be a dodgy set?

Also check tyre pressures, are you running 35psi all round?

Changed tyres recently but problem was there before that.

I'd say I started noticing it about 3 months before I changed

I'm running 33psi all around in 215/45/17 tyres

Not the shocks I'm afraid.

4 new shocks + top mounts, new ball joints+ drop links, new wheel bearings.

This feels like it's coming from the wheels.

Also had the geo done using tony's specs.

It's bugging me and I can't enjoy driving the car as much as I should
