  1. I should add that engine temperature is fine - needle pointing around the half way mark. A/C works fine Blowers work fine etc.etc.
  2. Hi, first post here! I bought an 06 plate IS 220 d this year and I love it. However, as the cold weather starts to set in I have found what i consider to be a fault...can anyone confirm it as a fault and possibly what needs to be done to remedy it (i.e. is it a common fault?) Firstly, after about 5 mins of driving a 'fan' kicks in that is very loud. It starts and stops intermittently. Secondly, the heating system, when set to Hi blows cold unless I am driving at over 2,000 rpm. At this RPM it heats as expected (is sufficiently hot). The moment (and it is instant) i drop the revs to below 2,000rpm it starts to blow through cold air again. It is not set to Auto, Dual or A/C and I have not experienced this before on any other car that I have owned. Are the two 'problems' related? has anybody got any advice? Regards Jamie
