  1. IM back unfortunatly:) I have taken back the car to the shop as it was still smoking and told him to fix it He said it may be the stem seals as he noticed water there but thought it was from the turbos. I told him no way its the turbos etc and he is getting the turbo reconditioning guys in to check as its still under warranty. I havnt noticed any water in the engin etc, is this guy taking me for a ride. what happens when the stem seals in the head go and would it smoke only when in idle as mine does. thanks in advance.
  2. im in australia and i got dunlops as the originals were way too much like 420 aussie dollars each... id get the tyres checked out to make sure thay are the culprits then speak to lexus and ask them where they send to get tyres rpelaced then ring that company to find out which ones the most quiet and are best for lexus. I believe the original tyres on the lexus gs 300 are specifically desgined for lexus by Bridgestone
  3. Can anyone help regarding cleaning out of oil from muffler and CAt converter. As I nee to do this before I can see if its oil in muffler or oil on turbos again. thanks

As mentioned ealrier its the tyres i had the same problem, when i put some new tyres on, they were cheaper than the ones i took off, then when they wore out uneven i replaced them with better tyres and fantastic no noise. If they are new complain to the delaer who sold you the tyres and work out a deal if you can. :)

  6. Thanks for the reply and info. They said it was the rear engine seal, so dont know if that was removed but defently wasnt leaking before went inot workshop, Also still smoking done about 1800 km since coming out of workshop took itback twice and they said there was heaps of oil in the 2 rear mufflers and cat converter. Is there a way to clean the mufflers and cat converter. Maybe some water or (kerosine) :) thanks
  7. Recently had my Turbos Re conditioned and had steel put in rather than ceramic. However 2 points i would like to bring up for discussion. The mechanic said there was oil all over the place like the catalac converter and the exhaust system. They cleaned out as much as possible etc etc The car still smokes a little when hot and idle, he said this is the oil in the converter and the mufflers that couldnt be removed, and will burn out as you drive. its been 4 weeks and still when hot a little smoke. I asked if there was anyway to clean the converter or exhaust and he said no as you may cause
  8. Can anyone help me to find a used or brand new twin turbo for an aristo vertex 99 model tein turbo. My turbos have blown and now i need to replace them. I am in australia but willing to pay freight if the price is right :)

  12. I have a aristo twin turbo 99 model I also have blown my turbo heaps of smoke but my car runs, i think you can get reconditioned, i have hear they are ceramic as well. I am in Australia and now lookiging for a decent place to get them recondiitoned. car has been off road for 2 days already missing it :) Can anybody help me im in melbourne australia. maybe better to purchace new turbos ...are steel ones better than ceramic ???????? thanks in advance
  13. Can anyone advise on the appropiate adjustments for a wheel aligment. is it the same as Gs300 ..i have read thta it is and it is not . Does anyone have the correct answer. Thanks
  14. Yes turbo seals could also be the cause. Today i asked 2 different places one said wither the head or turbo seals. I believe i miised somehting in the originall post. However having the car radiator boil due to broken cap and then replace the cap and fill the water after it had cooled down leds one mechanic to believe its the head ( or the rubbers on the head) he said these rubbers cant be replaced u need to get the whole head recondiditoned which is very expensive. So he reccomended somehting which im not sure of. He said add some "no smoke" additive to the oil that will close the rubbe
