If you remove the spoiler of a sport arent there holes pre drilled in the bootlid to fix it onto?

If you remove it there will be loads of holes in the top that would need filling/sprayin

Hi not posted for abit now as you all now i have had my lexus for about 3 months now and i am confused on what to do with it i need some advise upto now i have got a sports grill and the smoked back lights from the dealers don't now what to do next any advise people? it could do with some power any suggestions?

well you cant ask a question like that without being told to put a charger on it! I think as far as I am aware that is the only way to get any major power increase into an IS! and turbos of course.

But you could also think about bigger/new alloys or getting hold of a TRD/TTE kit for it. It improves the look of the car 10fold in my opinion! Then get it lowered!

I'm just up the road from you and often walk past and admire your car - I really like all the mods and your new rear lights! I have the silver IS200 - saw you driving past last weekend. I have an issue with the aftermarket LED tail lights on mine and will have to cut open the units to find out what the problem is. The following thread gives the details:

I have just fitted ccfl angel eyes to my IS and think that these would finish off the front end of my car quite nicely. I have looked around for them on various sites and cant find them anywhere. Any chance of a point in the right direction?

I just upload the image to flickr.com, then right click on the image and select properties, then just copy the url address and paste it to the add image icon here.

BTW you can do this with any image you find on the web.

then it comes up with a few different URL's etc, copy the one that says forum code and post into thread.

yeah I used the Dremel. Fantastic piece of kit. I was a bit wary myself but I just took my time and it worked out for the best.

Well, it hasn't rained yet so they might fill up with water over night!

So I decided to bite the bullet and spray the inside of my tail lights. It was a bit of an effort with far too much concentration (and cigarettes) needed, but i got there in the end. and I think t was well worth it..

and fitted ......

all went pretty well, but i think i may need to reseal them as i didn't hold them together until the sealant had completely cured. if i do then i will possibly reseal with a black sealant.

i have done it :D

yes use a dremel

with a diamond cutting blade

cut very slowly as running fast will build up heat and melt the plastic

do not force it !

reseal with clear silicone

may sound stupid but I guess you just cut along the join of the lense and backing, is that right?

see if u can get ur hands on a spare set of light clusters incase u get it wrong too, not that I don't have faith, but i know i'd screw somethin like that up very easily lol

Is it possible to split down the brake light cluster to spray the chrome bit? if so, is it the same process as doing the headlights?

Hi, what model of IS do you have? I'm pretty sure only the SE and the Sport have the inbuilt amp.
