Hi everyone - Saw my old car two days ago in Skegness, Lincolnshire. Just caught a fleeting glance of it but it looked really well. I part exchanged it last August at a dealers in Mansfield, Notts. If you are the new owner it would be interesting to know what, if anything, you have done to it. Drive a very nice car now but still miss the old girl. Please get in touch. Cheers.

Thanks for the replies folks. Yes it does seem a bit expensive but still surprised it has not gone. If I was nearer I would have been to have a gander even though gold is not my favourite colour. Thanks again. -
Hi everyone, There is a gold LS400 for sale in Cardiff. It is on Autotrader and Gumtree. It looks in very good nick and has fluctuated in price between £2500 and £3500. I am on the east coast approx 190 miles from Cardiff so a little impractical to travel across to view it. I was just wondering if anyone has been to see it and what you thought of it. Hiya everyone, Little advice required please. I have had my LS400 for about 8 years. It has been a fantastic car but I fancy a newer one. I am looking for another LS400 or a LS430. I was recently speaking to a mate of mine who also has a LS400. He told me that I should be careful about a car fitted with LPG as it can cause damage to the cylinder head due the the heat. Has anyone had any experience or knowledge of this problem please? Must say I have never heard of it before but would be nice to know. Thanks in advance. Great forum folks!

There are some for sale on ebay. If you just put 'Lexus LS' in the search box and then tick the worldwide box you will find them easy enough by searching from newly listed first. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. Shipping costs are £48.45 but the price of the discs and pads is reasonable so I think it is worth it. Did you notice any difference in the noise? I cannot really see why there should be much difference but like I say I have read somewhere they are a bit noisier. Thanks.

Hi everyone - I am considering buying some drilled and slotted brake disks (from the USA). Just wondering if anyone has any experience of these as I have read somewhere that they can be noisy. Do they actually improve braking prerformance? Thanks.

Hiya I replaced my passenger door mirror on my 97 LS400. It is a very easy job to do - probably only half hour or so. If you have a look at the tutorial page on LexLS.com it shows quite clearly howto remove the door panel and the mirror is easy to replace after that. Good luck looking for the mirror. I got mine on ebay from a breakers yard in Dewsbury for about £35 delivered.

Thanks for the reply. The reason I ask is that for a car that has so many gadgets I have never had such a warning light show even when a rear light,headlight,side light or any light bulb has blown. This makes me wonder whether my ecu is not working (I have had the car for about 6 years).

Sssshhh this could invoke a recall of all Lexus vehicles. The only non-original bulb on mine is in the clear front indicators I fitted. Yes there is but not for all lights, and off hand I can't recall which ones are covered by the system. Why do you ask?

Hiya Guys (and girls) - I have a Series 3 LS400. Can anyone tell me whether this should have a warning light on the dash if one of the bulbs fails.If there is a relay or unit or whatever its called where is it hidden (think I have seen them on ebay). Thanks in anticipation.

What a question!!?? I am actually but I have made mistakes before by getting wrong size. These look okayish but I need to know first. I think the correct offset for the LS400 is 38 to 45 but I find it all a bit confusing. Anybody got any ideas?

Hiya all - Does anyone know if 17" GS300 wheels (ET 50) will fit on a 97 LS400? Am I right in thinking the ET50 is the offset? Any thoughts greatly appreciated. THANKS.

Sorry - never posted on here before! I have a set of original Lexus IS250 wheels (2008) in extremely immaculate condition with new Vreiderstein 168mph tyres. Complete with brand new centre caps and brand new wheelnuts. They are the 5 spoke type. Bargain at £300.Thanks.
