hi my name is Tom and im from manchester and will be hopefully owning a is200/altezza within the next few weeks as i need a jap style car in my life again as after building and owning a few b18-c4 civics (MB6 vti, EK4) and my car at the moment a polo gti the is200/altezza seems to be something that im after power and looks plus comfort.
I have a few questions regarding a few tuning options. I know the is200/altezza use the 2.0 L 1G-FE inline-6 engine which i beleive is in the toyata supra family but what i cant understand is this 1jz and 2jz engine could someone take a few moments to explain this sequence of letters and numbers to me please. Also which engine is it best to drop in that has a turbo already bolted to it and what diff's and boxes's fit direct from any other lexus/toyota that can handle 300+ bhp with out spending millions of £££
