I've just bought a 2001 Y-Reg Lexus RX 300 SE. It's done 120 000 miles and cost 3000 pounds.
As usual when I buy a car I might have made a mistake. There is quite a lot of smoke when the car is started in the morning - for perhaps 30 seconds. From reading the American forums this might be a quite common problem with oil sludge.
The car has a full Lexus Service History so I would have thought the problem would have been identified and fixed during the course of regular services....
Can anyone advise - how serious is the problem, and is there anything I can do about it?
Thanks.
