  1. Thank you all, just waned to make sure. Twickenham Lexus seem to think i need to replace like for like so hence the confusion.
  2. Hi, anyone know where i can get a radiator to replace the one i have, it is for Is200 sport (99 reg), there appear two versions being sold if not bought from Lexus. Given I don't want to pay the amount lexus ask does anyone have or know where i get one, how much i am likely to pay and what the actual dimensions should be i believe it is 375 x 718 x 27 mm as i haven't taken it out yet. Thanks
  3. Hi All, Hi, hoping someone could give me some advice. Have a Lexus 1999 is200 sport, when i picked it up i noticed it was very sluggish when driving and drank more fuel than a Jumbo jet,so took it to the nearest Toyota Garage who ran a diagnostic on the car. I was already thinking coil packs before i got there having read through this forum but despite picking up a multiple misfire they could not tell me which ones were misfiring nothing else of any significance came up. I took it to lexus a week later who could not fit it in on the day i came, but i was due to go tomorrow, whilst i was there i mentioned my cd player was not working and the guy kindly took a look and swapped over a fuse and it duly csme on. Drove the car back home approx 12 miles and noticed the car overheating, steam coing from radiator. I stopped topped with coolant continued for a few mile more to home and it began overheating again and there was no coolant left. I haven't driven the car since just ran it for 10 mins on the drive today, the temp gauge duly rose and steam from the radiator cap. What i noticed was the Fan did not come on, but i recall it working okay prior to the guy swapping over the 20amp fuse, now i know the Fan fuse is different but could it be possible for this to have triggered it to blow or do something to prevent the fan from operating. I have checked the Oil cap for any Head Gasket issues, no creamy gunge can be seen there or on the dipstick but that may not necessarily mean it isnt a HG issue. I can see no apparant leaks on the driveway. Heating was working fine when i drove back, didn't notice any heat whilst the car was running on the drive for 10 mins before it began to overheat. If anyone can assist in helping me figure out what simple checks to do or what the possibilities are no matter how painful i would appreciate it, i don't want to go into a Garage blind and get ripped off doing something not necessary.....sorry for the long email i'm trying to give as much detail as possible. Thanks
