HI all
Having just taken delivery (Saturday) of my 98 Aristo Vertex V300 twin turbo you can understand I am still quivering with the excitement of my first 150 miles of unadulterated pleasure.
I do have a couple of questions though that I would welcome any comments.
firstly I found an alpine Car navi NO55PV sat nav in the boot sitting on top of what looked like a home made converter in the boot. I spent £100 on the map software and loaded it up....no joy. I gave the car to an electrical friend of mine who upon getting the converter running managed to get channel 4 and ITV working on sound only...no picture...he also could not get the sat nav to work. The software is being accessed and the remote bleeps when pointed at the sensor but no picture.
Any ideas....he said that I would need a new PAL to NTSC converter as the home made one seems to be faulty...and he has no clue about the sat nav...What channel should it be on? or does it override the screen controls once on....I can feel money being spent already.
Last question....on a very enjoyable first 150 miles, some reaching an easy 120 mph as smooth as silk I began to get a slight feeling of wheel wobble through the car at 80MPH on the last leg of the journey home...the turbo timer registered 3.15(if that means anything to anyone) and seemed to ease as I slowed into urban traffic.... I left it 2 hours and drove again a short distance...it seemed to be a smoother ride again although I could feel a very slight (tiny) wobble when accelerating to 60mph...could this just be a tracking issue or has anyone else experienced similar. Sorry for the dumb questions I am not a mechanic I just love driving nice cars.
My car by the way is a black Aristo Vertex twin turbo V300 with black windows, black leather interior (Immaculate throughout) 58 on the clock and as quiet as a mouse.
Cheers!!
