Hello, First off I don't really post much on here, but this site has helped me out a lot in the past when it comes to little niggles with the car. Unfortunately this is one where I can't really find an answer... and it's about the steering wheel squeak, creak, rubbing noise. Now I have taken a small video so that you can hear it. Apologies for the camera moving around as I tried to show where abouts the noise is coming from. https://www.dropbox.com/s/as30zo7e8yj35lr/IMG_1600.m4v?dl=0 I am pretty sure the noise is from the drivers side. At a guess I am assuming because the steering column is obviously on the right. It's an IS200 that has done 155,000 miles if that helps. I did read that I should spray WD40 where the steering column comes through the footwell. This sort of worked, but to be honest as there was no pics, I sprayed half a can where ever I saw something that looked like a join that could squeak. Does anyone know what it is and how I can fix it? Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone, I have had a look around for the answer of this and I couldn't find what I was looking for, so apologies if it has been mentioned before on another thread. Basically that long thin strip of plastic that runs from the front to the back of the roof, there's one on the drivers side and one on the passenger side, I think it's for when you want to fit a roof rack... Well mine came off and is currently being flattened by trucks somewhere on the A14. I ordered the replacement which arrived. The problem is fitting the thing. I assumed there were clips where you would push/click it into place. But there is nothing. The new plastic trim hasn't come with any and there is nothing on the roof of the car that would suggest that is the case. Would someone be able to tell me how to fit the replacement please? And if clips of some kind are needed, the part number or a link to where I can purchase some please? Although I have this embarrassing, gut feeling that maybe I really need to give it some force to push the whole thing along and no clips needed lol It's for a Lexus IS200, year 2000. Thanks for any help/advice/photos that you can give.

Closer look at the rear headlight... where the orange indicator bulb has been replaced with a chrome covered one. Gives the back headlight a clearer, crisper line at the back -

This is the side repeater that I mentioned earlier. Chrome look and the bulb is chrome plated so the orange 'fried egg' look has gone -

Dome light got an upgrade to, really bright. That's without the map light on which is just as bright. -

Door light... changed to a white lens instead of red and put an LED in -

Changed dials to white... note the 3 on the clock is normal but it came out odd in the photo -

Hallow look with 3 LEDs underneath... I love it but not everyones cup of tea... I understand where people come from when they say you want those lights get a BMW or get an Audi... but I like the Lexus lol -

These headlights were imported from Australia and they are road legal in the UK. But they have to be the biggest, most expensive pain up the arse I have ever bought for any car that I have ever owned. They were an absolute fortune (only had the money because I left the mrs and spent our savings ;) lol) They were a lot of money and then I had to fork out for tax duty to. To say they were a pain to fit is an understatement. It took a day and a half to fit them with alterations and modifications every step of the way. Were they as described by the seller "exact replacements" and "plug and go".... no they f*****g weren't. Despite the aggro do I love them... YES :) -

I put the clear rear fog lights in with red bulbs. And also since this photo I have taken out the orange indicator bulbs and replaced them with chrome covered orange bulbs so there is no orange tint to the rear lights... nice clear look -

I have changed the indicator since then. Have the same shape but crystal clear look with a chrome covered orange indicator bulb to keep it clean looking. Lost the fried egg look! -
