  1. Hi, when we start our IS300 there is about a 10 second noise that sounds like grinding plastic cogs from the heater system after ten seconds the noise goes until the car is restarted again, the heater selector is also stuck on the middle and feet setting where ever you move it too, it blows fine and is nice and warm, any ideas please?
  2. Hi,we are off to France for a couple of weeks, well down South of the country and we are travelling down over night, I have an IS300 with the HID headlights, does anyone have any ideas as to how or what I have to do for "the other side of the road" ? Thanks
  3. Gearbox!!...IS300 only available in the UK with auto/tiptronic, we have both cars an IS200 SE and IS300 sportcross and to be honest the IS200 manual is more fun to drive and sounds better in a tunnel lol...
  4. I have the same problem,,,after 5 min of driving from the rear off side :(
  5. Well the car seems to have sorted itself out yesterday and today no check engine light!
  6. Hi, Filled up my IS300 to the top from empty with TESCO 95grade unleaded 3 days ago,,since then the car has started to run pretty rough and the engine management light came on but strangely hasn't been on today, I'm not too sure of the quality of petrol from supermarkets anyone else had problems, does any member think that super grade is better for the large 300 engine? Lew
  7. Perhaps this might encourage Lexus to introduce a new IS Sportcross model, Honda have jumped on the bandwagon with an Accord Crosstour, I dont think this will ever enter European shores though. http://automobiles.honda.com/accord-crosstour/
  8. I can't afford an LFA not even when then maybe appear in Autotrader in the next millennium lol,,,however maybe this is the next best thing. A friend of mine in the model industry tells me even this beautiful model has sold out from the distributor before release!! http://www.autoartmodels.com/web/product/en/1809?antiCache=1292536121491EAB8272D6D050950866F7382E043DC5A

  11. Seen your post and now,,,yes please add me too, advise on payment etc, thanks
  12. What a pity it never made the production line, but as a sportcross owner i still prefer the MK1 this looks a little like an Audi A3 at the rear.

  14. I recently bought THIS the other day, halfords don't list Lexus paint colours but they have Toyota 202 Astral Black (exactly the same stuff as far as I know) not bad for £8.49 I thought, comes as a 2 pen kit, 1 x Grey Primer, 1 x 202 Astral Black, a little fibreglass stick/brush for cleaning crap from chips/sratches and a little sponge for... Hope that helps. :) Just had another look and the paint is bubbling from the inside lip of the seam, about the size of a 10p coin on the offside and just starting in the same place on the nearside, will try and take some photos tomorrow, Lew
  15. Hi all, new member here, I have recently bought a nice 2004 IS300 sportcross and its a pleasure to drive, I thought our Subaru Legacy 2.5 was quick but the IS is much quicker :). The car has done a few miles for a 6 year old 130,000 but has full lexus history, however when i washed the car for the first time i noticed two small paint blisters on the tailgate :( not bad, doesnt look like rust more like a paint blister, the guys at Lexus Cardiff took a look but said not covered under warranty, any one else have pain bubbles? Lew
