  1. Hi folks, Just a brief update; the new screen went in and also the dash was sorted too. They also found a rattle in the door card on the passenger side so they fixed that too. I have to say that I am blown away by the level of service from Lexus. The car is now rattle free!! Happy days. Cheers Goodbob
  2. Not a silly question at all! Yes it was misted inside. Was a cold evening. I have since had it checked in the Lexus service centre and the rear screen has to be replaced as the whole thing is fried. All ok though as I just bought the car and this should have been spotted before it was sold to me. They apologised and have ordered the part and will fit the new screen in due course. Interestingly enough they are also pulling the dash to replace defective retaining clips as there is a rattle over by the glove box. So all in all I am happy with the outcome. I have to say they have been a pleasure to deal with and a big change from the crap I had before with a different premium marque. Anyway next week it should all be resolved. Other than that it is all good. Love the car and the toys are great. My favourite feature is the reversing camera....now if I could only figure out a way to have it on when I am in drive!! Cheers Goodbob
  3. Hi There everyone, I am new to the Lexus ownership experience. I have recently converted from a BMW. All good and very happy with my decision. I got the car a few weeks back during the "summer" and all appeared to be good. However, as the days get cooler and wetter I needed to activate the rear window demister. I left the function on for over 20 minutes and there was no change in the fogging on the window. I have searched the forum and the net as a whole to see if there are any specific fixes or issues with this but have turned up nothing of relevence. So my questions are: 1. Is there a seperate fuse for the actual heating element as opposed to the dash display? 2. Is there a connector that may have become detached somewhere? 3. If there is no obvious fault what is the best course of action? I have examined the circuit pattern on the rear window and it appears to be fully intact. I cannot see any obvious breakages. All other electrics wok perfectly and the Aircon is fully functional. I leave the aircon on automatic by default. I tried all other permuatations to see if there was a power draw issue and still no obvious demisting. Anyway sorry for the long query. Cheers Goodbob P.S. I did post a hello in the new members section!!
  4. Hi folks, New to this forum. Been a long term BMW owner. I got fed up with constant trips to the dealership and there was nothing in the range that could compete with the spec versus price of the GS300 I picked up. I just got a 2005 GS300 Sport (new shape....series 3?) I have to say I am delighted. It has all the toys and has been very well loved. I purchased it through the Lexus dealership approved used programme. Anyway, good to find a forum for Lexus. Cheers Goodbob
