  1. If you've paid for the a/c to be disinfected and cleared of the smell then that is what you should get. Go back to the dealers and kick up a "stink" Sorry couldn't resist the pun!
  2. Hmm, I'm not that fussed about the 2011 model revisions apart from the front bumper. DRL's are a downside to the new model in my opinion as they now miss the adaptive headlights (which I love!!). I'm assuming that the chassis, suspension and engines are all the same????
  3. Agreed. These small changes make a huge difference. Looks awesome. I was at Lexus woodford last week :) Is this the 2011 model with DRL's and the new front lower bumper, or the F-Sport 20th anniversary model like mine?
  4. It is in Cadoxton Slate B) I had 3 colours in mind initially, Cadoxton Slate, Mesa Red and White. As I've had red and white before I thought I'd plump for the Slate. Looks almost black at night, but has a really good metallic slate shimmer to it in sunlight.
  5. Well it was a lovely day up here in the Dales, so took the car out after a clean and took a few pics. B) PS - photoplopped the front plate out.
  6. They look like Work vs-xx alloys. One of my mates has them on his MKV GTI, just not quite as deep a dish as those in your picture. Usually have gold spokes too. B) Any idea wer u can buy these from? And does anyone know wat are the widest wheels I can fit in the rear? And wat offsett will I need? I don't know about the max sizes or offsets for an IS yet as I'm a relative newcomer myself. I did spot this on another forum that may help though. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-second-generation/529830-help-works-vs-xx-pics.html

  8. Yes, the rear view mirror did shake a little, but not as bad as some race prepped cars I've had to put up with The worst ever was a Porsche 964 with race prep suspension and the rear view mirror constantly looked like it was having an epileptic fit......then it fell off!
  9. I've just bought a 250 F-Sport Auto and the fuel consumption on it's first motorway run was very good at 37.4mpg for the tank it was on. Around town it isn't brilliant, but to say it is a heavy car with a V6 it isn't bad at all. I took out a 220 diesel the other day and if you like diesel sound and tractor-like vibration through the steering wheel and gearstick, then go for it. I'd personally sacrifice the extra fuel range of the diesel for the creamy smooth petrol auto any day.
  10. Now you're for it. Don't get upsetting the IS 220D owners, they're more sensitive about comments than the Morris Marina Owners Club I'm used to dodging (that isn't a mis-spell of dogging before anyone comments ) Before I bought the IS F-Sport I was (still am at the moment!) a moderator on a MK5 golf forum, so I have natural rhino skin :winky: The car itself was great, but I simply couldn't believe that Lexus (that trades on refinement) has such a poor supression for NVH through the two main interfaces that the driver uses all the time ie. the steering wheel and the gearstick. The petrol version has absolutely no issues at all with NVH apart from a little tyre noise intrusion, but I expect that from any car (apart from maybe a Rolls Royce :duh: ) If I am being really picky (which I usually am) then the IS dashboard top could do with less of a sheen on it or the angles altering to help with reflection in sunlight onto the windscreen, the digital clock is a little retro (personal taste) and the hazard warning button could do with being larger or red or both. I'm also not a lover of the recently discovered velcro covering for the Isofix fittings as it smacks of cost cutting and definitely not something I thought I'd find in a Lexus. Overall though I do think that the car is very good and I love all the gadgets. B)
  11. I drove one of these a while back and this is what I'd like to see in them.... Carbon ceramic brake option (no dust!) Dual clutch transmission technology - way better than the 8 gear transmission Twin turbo's or a decent supercharger. - 500bhp and more torque
  12. Had a Diesel manual IS Sport for a courtesy car yesterday and all I can say is......yeuuccchhh! My old VW Golf diesel was far more refined an engine and I'm suprised that owners haven't got vibration white finger from the vibration that feeds back through the steering wheel and especially the gearstick. Other than that the car was the usual excellent IS. I was really glad to get back into my fully valeted IS 250 sport Auto though. B)
  13. Yeah, that was my thinking too. Could do with a HKS exhaust and some deep dish alloys too. I'd like to drop the ride height too, but don't really want to ruin the ride quality.
  14. Picked the car up yesterday and very pleased with it. Here are a few pics.
  15. yeah, i know of motoscope. when did you hear of it being sold? i had my MR2 rr'd there when it was nasp and when it was turbo'd. LOL, Sorry, must be the way I wrote it! I meant sold my car and not Motorscope being sold
