Had my '99 Lexus IS200SE for over a year - best car I have ever had and never fails to raise eyebrows and glances when the brand is mentioned. A few minor (i.e. cheap) modifications. Hope one day to (1) retire (2) own a Platinum Ice Navigator IS300 with the full Lexus kit Cheerie

Saw those clear rear fog light lenses on ebay - anyone got them - anyone with pics (on platinum ice) to see if it actually looks good? Where do the red bulbs for them come from......

Need to replace one of the lights for the rear licence plate - no mention in the manual and I cannot work it out - have removed the cover under the bootlid and everything, but still no luck Can anyone help? I bet you its so simple

Mine did the same once - car hadn't moved for three days and the battery discharged - never happened again

To all, I can barely bring myself to share such a tale A work colleague recently bought an X plate IS200SE - very nice - mint The previous keeper, also a work colleague, had traded the Lexus in, for, wait for it, a BMW Z3 !! Not only that, it was the horrific 1.9litre version. What goes through some folks minds ? May he be banished to the world of BMW forever...... I have circulated his photo to all Lexus Dealers so that they may scoff at him when he returns with his tail between his legs.

Ok, I have just looked at the PowerBulbs site and I think I'll buy them. But it says I need the 9005's or the 9006's - eh? Help - what do I buy 9005 or 9006 ? I'm no good at this modification game........

Yes, I know, if I search I'll find something on this topic somewhere, however no-one seems to be able to make up their mind on the best to buy I want to get a brighter bulb for the headlights - are Philips Blue Vision the ones to buy, at their cheap cost. Don't want to spend too much, being a Scotsman after all.... Further to that, I notice the IS300 has yellow tinted lenses/bulbs on the front foglights - aside from buying whole new units from Lexus, has anyone done a modification on the bulbs themselves to give 'the look'? Look forward to replies
