Thanks, i have already tried the spare key but no luck. Ive heard a small clicking in the passenger footwell on ignition? do you think this is relevant to the problem?

My Lexus IS200 has lately taken to cutting out on me, initially it fires up again no trouble but cuts straight out. After a couple of times it will return to normal. At future intermittent periods the problem continue. A friend advised me it may be to do with my fuel filter so ive changed that but it hasnt solved it. Any suggestions?
