Hello...
My name is Kathleen and I am new to this forum and still trying to find my way around... However, I do have an important issue at the moment... Can anyone help me please???
Last week, I took my Lexus IS 250 for an routine oil change at a local car dealership where I purchased the vehicle from just last year... I don't drive my vehicle much, since I work from home, however, I would guess between then and today I have driven "at least" 50 miles or more around town... A few days ago, on a rainy night, I thought I noticed a pool of oil near my car, but assumed it was from another car that was parked in my spot since mine just had an oil change... The following day, while driving, I smelled something burning, but thought it was the car in front of me... and just today, heard a faint ticking noise... My husband and I were on our way to go on a 100 mile trip today when I stopped to check the oil and noticed there was NO OIL ON THE DIPSTICK AT ALL... It was bone dry... We took it back to the dealer and he changed the oil filter, added oil and fixed the cracked "seal"... He then said that he took it for a ride and "all is okay" with the car... I am not so sure and kind of upset right now... Can anyone give me advices, opinions, etc... Very much appreciated...
