    Hello to all LOC members

    After many a year away from the site I thought I would check up and see if you were still alive and kicking, glad to see you all are!

    From a quick search on here I see all things Lexus have moved on... Unlike me! lol

    I still have my old IS200... Have had it for about errrrm 10 years now and still love it... Well apart from the mpg but you can't have everything!

    Which leads me to my questions... Who has owned their Lexus the longest? Who's is in the best condition for its age? Mine is a 99 plate IS200 sport which I have owned for 10 years and has covered a staggering 77.000 miles lol... Not a spot of rust on it and has only ever cost me the sum of my front shock absorbers and a ignition coil, not bad for 10 yrs motoring?... It even still has all 3 keys, and the spare wheel it came with in the boot unused! (probably no good now lol)

    Time to test the snow button and see if it's not just a LED. :huh:

    Don't hold your breath, its rubbish lol

    There i was last year, oooh its snowing! got in the car and to my amazment the car didn't move from the same spot for 5mins, traction is awful in the snow.

    Snow button made it worse. Honestly, they should of left that switch blank or put a 'get out of jail free' button in instead :lol:

    Summer tyres in winter conditions by any chance?? The snow button works perfectly well when it is used in the correct positions.

    It really does still amaze me the amount of poeple that think pressing the "snow" will turn the car into a "go anywhere" machine - james bond isnt real!

    A QUESTION: what do people expect to happen when they press the snow button???

    For it to actually do something?

    Same as when I press that little mirror button the door mirrors close and when I press the heated seat button my arse gets warm?

    Lets face it, a button that needs a grands worth of winter tyres to work is sort of USELESS?

    Probably linked to the random problems others seem to be having too such as Besty and the way the site sometimes stops working for a short period of time.

    Guess thats because Steve and all his minions are sticking pins in Anees, Besty, Gord and Scorpion dolls?

    its nice to have a bit of performance but the end result for myself is this time next year i wanna look like a pimp :D you just don't get that with the other motors

    Ahhh..... thats the main reasons my IS is going

    The IS is rapidly overtaking the saxo to become the number one boy racer car round here

    I didn't buy it to look like "a pimp"

    My one and only attempt at adding a bit more power was a HKS hiper which added about 5 bhp and cost me £180 a year extra on my insurance

    I got a quote last week for a brand new subaru impreza wrx and it worked out £80 a year more than my 6 year old is200 with the modded exhaust (what a joke)

    Going tommorow! :D :D :D

    Can't wait. Read a few reviews of the new 3 series and the magzines all love the way it handles but hate its looks!

    Have to be there for 9.30am! Have to set off from Rochdale, Pick my mate up from Oldham and then off to Corby!

    If the buffet is crap their is a Pizza Hut 7 miles away too!

    Better get to bed :)

    Like a fool I cancelled mine yesterday because of the snow, only to wake up today to find it all gone

    Have to say I really do like the look of the new 3 series :blush:
