Hi De-catting your LS400 will cause engine management problems as there are a total of 4 lambda sensors in the exhaust system 2 before each cat on the left hand and the right hand system and 2 fitted after the cat they work total independant and have to sense different gases to make the management system work correctly. best of luck if you want it to run properly ever again. I have recently been told of a problem with air con pumps on LS400 models. Apparently it leaks on virtually every one and also leaks into the alternator and destroys it!!! Has anybody heard this?

Anybody help with the pinking problem I have under the slightest accleration. If I open the throttle further the problem stops, the car has done 153000 miles fully serviced, doesn't overheat & runs perfectly apart from this problem. Can anyone also tell me what PCD the wheels are and if any other make of car wheels will fit.
