Granted my 97 es300 has 100,000 miles on it but has anyone else had to replace the entire steering box??? $1500+tax . It makes a severe cracking sound when the wheels are turned at low speed or stopped. Problems like this and replacing a seal between the engine and transmission ($1000) are not why I bought a lexus.
