I've been towing a 1.5 tonne caravan with an LS430 for two years now and it's the best tow car I've ever had, far better than any 4x4. (But I've not tried an RX.)
I've fitted a gearbox oil cooler, and I would recommend you fit one, if you are going to tow anything over a tonne on a regular basis.

Can I ask which towbar you've had filtted please and a rouge idea on cost?? Also how much is the oil cooler for the auto box?
