  1. Hi Jay, I was wondering if you removed the projector domes on your fog lights? if so how did you do this and what did you replace them with ( I read you used old lens for something) to give you some idea, I have LED foglights, however they are not very bright at the moment because when you put them behind the projector style dome, the light isnt as bright. I am hoping to remove the dome so that the LED's are visible in the day time, and thus allow me to use them as DRL's. I hope you did remove the projector lights as your foglight in the last picture does look rather bright :) thanks auzzam. p.s have you by any chance got photos of the completed fog light turned of, and on the car.. so I could see how it looks without the projector dome
  2. thanks :) cant wait to try it this weekend
  3. thanks Arcane, just one more question have you had any issues with the sealing of the foglights.. as in water getting in after you have put them back together?
  4. thanks for the pic looks definitley worth doing especially since mine is a black is as well, how easy was it to remove the foglights? did you have to remove the bumper at all?
  5. thanks for the quick replies, Arcane, have you got a picture of the blacked out foglights on your car? please post if you do. thanks auzzam
  6. Please post pictures of this... as I am hoping to do this soon and want to know how to go about it, is it the same process as the headlights (heating up and removing)? thanks in advance auzzam
  7. Hi Guys, I managed to peek into my fog lights the other day and noticed it had the plastic dome on the back with ribs in it, similar to this what I wanted to know was if the H3 bulb I found on ebay would fit my 2003 is200. As this is the first time im dealing with this sort of bulb and a bit unsure. Would appreciate any help guys. thanks Auzzam
  8. Hi, Finally got round to having a look at the type of bulbs i need... im guessing it will be h3 bulbs... as it has the dome rib casing on the back. can you just help to point me in the direction as to whether these are the right bulbs ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-H3-68-SMD-LED-White-Car-Fog-Head-Light-Lamp-Bulb-12V-/220784878831?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3367cde4ef#ht_3220wt_936 helps much appreciated. thanks Auzzam

  10. just out of intrest sprinter, did these trigger any types of warning lights on the dash i.e bulb out? not sure if we have them on the IS so was just curious.
  11. thanks sprinter, now just have to wait for someone to upload a picture of a smoked/black foglight and how they sprayed it :)
  12. thanks mate, is there anyway of telling which bulbs I need by looking at the bulbs themselves. because I have a 52 plate lexus which generally means 2002 although my car was actually registered in January of 2003. So im not sure whether to get bulbs for the pre 2003 cars, or post 2003
  13. Just wanted to know has any one fitted those bright led fog lights to there car. As I want to change the normal colour. these are the ones I mean : Can you please post pictures of them on your car as I want to see what shade they are, ideally to match with my 8000 hid and angel eyes. Has some one blacked out the fog lights? is it a similar method to the headlights (as I have recently used the oven to paint them black) and again please post pictures. hope you guys can help. regards auzzam
  14. glad you guys like it, totally transforms the look of the car. My uncle who has also has an IS was parked next to me next day and its so amazing what a little lip spoiler can do. I would definitley recomend getting it as it takes less than a week to get to you with good paint match
  15. Sorry for the late upload guys, been tied up in a few things, anyway enjoy. Bobba77 I cant remember the sellers name but it was £14 poundish + another 15/16 for postage.... beware though you do get hit with a £14 customs charge a week or so later. regards auzzam
  16. Hi Guys, I have recently accuired lexus is200 sat nav including housing. I am well aware that the actual sat nav will not work on my lexus (without sat nav harness) . What I wanted to know is about the sony sat navs people have fitted to their housing. I wanted to know if its possible to change the sat nave on this kind of style : as you can see the factory sat nav here is larger than the ones with the sony sat navs installed. I wanted to know if I could fit a sony sat nav or a larger one to this unit (as it is larger than the normal housing people fit sat navs to ) hope I am clear, any help appreciated Auzzam
  17. hey guys, received mine this week, perfect fit and colour match and best of all no import duties charged. definitely worth the £30 Will post pictures once I get round to fitting it on the car
  18. Hi guys, just wanted to gain opinions from those of you with HID installed on your is200. What temperature did you go for? I want a blueish tone, and from what Ive seen 8000k seems to be pretty good. how hard was it to install on the lexus? and is it a good bet to purchase kits of ebay for example these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LEXUS-IS200-99-01-MAIN-BEAM-HID-Kit-9005-HB3-8000k-/290467955199?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43a13d41ff#ht_3639wt_1002 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hid-Xenon-conversion-Lexus-IS200-99-05-north-london9006-/220772932108?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3367179a0c#rpdId
  19. yup seen the youtube video, a cousin of mine stuck his supra headlights in the oven in order to spray the inserts black, he said its pretty straight forward. Thanks for pointing it out though. Auzzam
  20. Hi , I am new to the forum and have recently purchased a black is200 SE. I am contemplating whether or not to install angel eyes on the front lights as I have seen kits on ebay for £30. I want to see what they actually look like on the car as the ebay pictures are small and hard to make out. I would also like to see the shade of the angel eyes, as i've seen some that are really blue and some more white. could you please post pictures of your angel eyes on the car. thank you Auzzam
  21. It was £5 import duty, plus a £10 admin fee. Thats not bad... I just ordered one in black, wont mind paying £10-15 extra, although the admin charge seems bit of a rip off! how long did it take to reach you?
