  1. Hello - I have a high pitched squeal when braking from around 60 mph or above. My car is less than a year old and has done approx. 7500 milesThis appears to come from around the glove box area. It is very high pitched and normally I could not hear this if people were talking or the radio was on. This does not happen when driving around town or lower speeds. I have had a Lexus technician sit in the car and he has also heard it. He reported this back to his Maintenance Manager for advice. I had a call from them saying that they had taken another Nexus 300h out for a test drive which had done less than 200 miles, and that they were experiencing the same noise. I was wondering if anyone else had this noise. My dealer seems to think this is normal and could be part of the battery regenerating system when the car is braked.
  2. The car in the profile picture was in the show room. It fitted my specs, so I bought the actual car in the show room.
  3. Mine was due to go in to Lexus Chester tomorrow, but when I called to confirm, I was advised that Lexus HQ had told them not to do the up-date yet. Obviously, the so called update is not all it should be! They are now probably waiting on an up-date to the up-date! What a farce.

  5. I have had similar problems - the Sat Nav / Radio / Phone display, went off again this morning - this is the third time – (black screen and no sound). After a while the radio came back on but the Sat Nav area was blank. I played around with the ‘joystick’ and home/menu buttons and eventually got the Sat Nav display to work again. I hope that the upgrade will fix these problems. Mine is going in on the 21st december to Lexus - Chester.
  6. Hello Tried the ignition switch on/off setup, but does not work on my model. perhaps the UK is different from the rest of the world?? Also tried the Device ID to register my vehicle, using every combination of input for the complete set of numbers, but still no good. Come on Lexus, why are you selling brand new cars with these type of glitches. These issues are some how forgotten to be mentioned when you are selling the vehicle!! Very frustrated owner.
  7. Hi again Ref the Device ID. I note that you have shown 4 sets of numbers. My device ID comes up as nn-nn-nn (nnnn-nn-nn). the numbers in the brackets, look like the Year-month-date. Do you think I am looking at the correct Device ID?

  9. I have just bought the new Lexus 300h Luxury ( a week ago). I have found the following annoying problems with the in car phone and the voice recognition. Firstly, when I make a call (i have an iPhone 5s connected by bluetooth)., the person I am speaking with keeps hearing themselves - like an echo. Turning down the volume helps but then I find it difficult to hear them with road noise when driving. Secondly, when trying to dial a number using voice recognition, the system throws up spurious numbers - example when I say 'Dial', the screen and the voice prompts says '+6.' Thirdly, when first connected, all my contacts were transferred. Now they have all disappeared, although they are still on my phone. When I try and transfer the contacts list again, it transfers only one number. I took it back to Lexus Chester today, and they tried to assist me, but eventually, they couldn't, and I was told that there was a software update coming which 'çould' solve the problems I am experiencing. A shame about these problems with what, otherwise, is a lovely car. I have to say the the system fitted to my previous cars - A Lexus GS450h and a CT200h had absolutely no issues with the Sat Nav/audio/mobile systems. Another problem I am having - I tried to register my car on 'MyLexus', and entered the VIN Number, and the Device ID for the Sat Nav, which I obtained from the Service Booklet and through the menu system in the Sat Nav. However, I keep getting the message that the Device ID is invalid. Has anyone else had this problem?
  10. Hi - I have a GS450h and have an annoying rattle coming from behind the Sat Nav display area. This is only heard when driving over bumpy surfaces on the road. I am hoping to investigate this myself if I can get to the back of the panel. I think that the two side panels should clip off? I know when I watched someone fit a car phone kit to my previous IS250 that the sides just clipped off. Has anyone had these panels off before, and are they simply a pull off push on fitting? Appreciate any help.

  12. Hi all Just bought an updated SatNav DVD. Ejected the old one and inserted the new one. Switched on and 'Caution' screen appears OK, with 'I agree'. Touched 'I Agree', and screen then went blank, flsahed for a couple of seconds, the went back to the 'Caution' screen. Is there a sequence of buttons/screen keys that I need to press to initate the new disc to load? Nothing in the manual, as I guess Lexus want you to get this done in their workshop?
