I have just purchased a Lexus 400LS Its a bit embarising really,I clear houses for a living any way I got to job yesterday and the man I was doing the job for was moving his Dads [passed away]car the 400ls, The parking brake was stuck on and was squealing a little.I happened to say that the old girl had not been moved for a time [very dirty].He said he was about to give ,,we buy any car,, a bell to see if they wanted it.I said I like big motors what do you want for it he said £500 I said seems like £400 would buy it he said yes.I now own a new motor.Took it to have it cleaned and just a couple of minor scratches ,it looks the DB's.It has covered 140k, service history for the 4 years he had it,Things like cam/suspension 3/4 k worth of bills, All items done that other posts say to look for.So I think I have rung the bell as we say.HAPPY DAYS.We are of to Bristol this afternoon so a full test drive will show any thing wrong, but what a motor I see why you can get hooked on them.Oh yes just to sweeten the deal there was over 3/4 tank of petrol tax/mot til November. Right now I have had my say how do you get to brake light bulb????????No manual I think I should have got anther tenner off for that!!! Cheers Happy Driving :winky: :winky:
