  1. The only thing my 2003 Lexus GS300 has not got is any reversing system sensors. Has anyone managed to fit a rear parking sensor system retrospectively please? I am looking at a Steelmate PTS400QC wireless rear parking sensor as I do not want to get involved with major wiring in the car. Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated. Other than that I have had the car since August and its FANTASTIC!!
  2. I am so pleased with my 2nd hand GS300 apart fom the Boot/Trunk. It opens great with the key but when any wind is blowing every time I unload it the lid keeps shutting with a slam - its caught me on the arm once - Ouch!! My husband had a look but cannot see anything you could alter/tighten to stop it doing this. One day its going to hurt someone so anyone's help, advice etc would be much appreciated. I had to open it at lest 4 times this week while I was unloading shopping - petty but annoying!! Thanks. SG
  3. Thanks for the advice. What it does not tell you in the handbook is that if you put the key in the iginition and turn it to "On" thats with all the lights showing ready to start, and then wait for 10 minutes before turning the key further to start, it started first time. I have to thank the wonderful guys at Lexus Service Centre in Chester for being so helpful to me this morning. Car is running again and no divorce imminent! SG
  4. I bought a 2003 Lexus GS300 SE auto early September which is absolutely beautiful. However I went away just after then and my husband disconnected the battery whilst we were going to be away. He has done this every year with our previous Merc saloon. On our return yesterday he re-connected the battery and now although we have the 2 master keys and a sub key, (all with new batteries) none of these will start the car. They all work to unlock and lock the central locking, trunk etc but although the car turns over quickly it won't start. Can anyone please advise anything we can do? I need it quite urgently to go and see aged parents but it is stuck at the bottom of a steep drive at present - not sure we could even tow it up the hill. I have spent hours going through the handbook but there is nothing of use in it for this situation. I feel a bit stupid really - never gave it a thought that we would have this problem. I just joined this Lexus Owners club and hope someone can help me. Many thanks. Suegeorgina.
