  1. picked the ct 200 as a company car due to the tax savings.

the car is good generally - comfortable, easy to drive, well spec'd, but the boot is tiny, the back seat looks cramped but OH was out with 3 friends last weekend and the two in the back commented how comfortable the car was.

mpg currently early 40s, it can be noisy when revved hard but soon quietens down. personally I prefer a diesel - faster, more economical and possibly cheaper in the first place but higher taxed for a while yet but when the diesel premium goes on company cars I think the main advantage of the ct has gone.

it was a good choice but would I pick it again - no back to audi / bmw next time - all down to the dealer experience (probably the worst ever)

I to got the CT200 due to the Company Car Tax savings which where quite large compared to my old BMW touring.

Bit surprised at the low 40s MPG. I have been getting 52-53 over the last two months (averaged). My commute is 64 miles round trip A roads Motorway and a bit of urban also that two months includes four trips to Noth Wales 300 miles round trip 90% motorway.

With regard to dealers Lexus Bolton have been excellent no negatives at all. Would have another, unless as you say the benefit is negated when the deisel premium goes. Then I would be in a bit of a quandry, probably BMW again.

  2. Never had the bottle to go much more than 10 miles or so after the range reads zero, even though I know that there should be about 8 - 10 litres left.

Obviously a bit of a wimp, will try it in future though.

    Thanks

  3. Hi, hope you are enjoying the car.

The British is electronic brake, can be used to slow the car down and charge the Battery. Yes I do use it.

Not aware of the facility for digital speedo.

Use the cruise control but never thought about what happens going downhill so I suppose it must.

Never used the hill hold assist. Managed for fifteen months without.

    Hope this helps

  4. A couple of questions regarding USB

    1. Can you use the USB to charge a device? Doesn't seem to want to charge my phone.

    2. Can you play music from a device, not iPod? Tried a couple of phones with no success.

    Look forward to any comments

    Oops sorry about the header

  5. Hi MrMajic. You are missing the point. I have driven the CT for over 12 months in the same driving style. The point I am making is that I am seeing a drop of around 5MPG latterly. It is not a temperature related issue as last winter I was getting around 50 - 55 MPG average. The question i am asking is could the 30,000 miles i have now covered be effecting the MPG?

    Anybody any thoughts?

  6. Hi Wass. Yes I am saying I am down by about 5MPG. I know about the temperature difference, i.e the colder it is the less MPG.

Had the car last winter but didn't notice such a big drop overall, not been that cold this winter until now of course. Brrrrr

Just had the car serviced so i don't think it is a break problem, will check though.

  7. No this not the usual how much are you getting etc.

I have had my CT over 12 months now and have covered over 30,000 miles. I have noticed over the last couple of months my consumption has dropped to an average of 45 - 50 mpg previously i was returning around 45 - 50 mpg.

Anybody else covered this sort of miles and noticed any reduction in mpg?

    Cheers

  8. Hi

I have had my CT SL premier since November and done over 17000 miles. It is fitted with 16 inch wheels. Yes the ride is furnished but not as uncomfortable as suggested. In fact I don't even notice it any more.

My previous car was a 3 series BMW with run flats, that was firm as well.

I did try an A3 black edition with 18 inch wheels that was too hard.

I really enjoy my CT and would recommend it to anyone, mind you I have not experienced 70+ mpg I would say I get between 50-55 mpg on average

    Hope this heps

  9. Hi. Where does everybody store their manuals. I have a Premier which comes with two manuals, the extra one is for the Mark Levinson stereo. The main manual is in the leatherette folder and is stored in the glovebox, taking up lots of room. The second one doesn't fit in there so it currently resides under the passenger seat, not ideal. I have read on forms that there is space in the lower boot area, that is not in my car. suggestions gratefully received.

  10. Hi. I drove a BMW 320d Touring for 3 years. Thought it was time to downsize. Options where BMW 1 or A3. My decision to go for the CT was down to BIK of 10 percent and specification of the Lexus.

Yes there is a marked difference in boot space but learning to carry less when we go away, well should say my wife is.

I am driving slower than before but this is no bad thing. In sport mode the car is quick enough away. Only use Sport mode when power is required.

I agree that the engine noise at high revs is a bit unusual but like everything else you get used to it.

Absolutely no problem for me motorway driving at between 70-80 mph.

4 months and 10,000 miles on and I am totally happy with my decision and have no regrets at all.

    Hope this helps
