I would love a phaeton - The 3.0 V6 diesel would be ideal I reckon
Yes the 3.0 Diesel I have, bis the most practical , however I do sometimes wonder how much better the V8 petrol might be.
-
I have owned all except for the Phaeton. Have a 7 series at the moment.
A man with taste. if you do ever get the chance of a drive in it. I can tell you the Phaeton will not disappoint
-
Not going to have A8 as already have the Phaeton, and they are very alike, I have decided to have
Lexus Ls either the 400 or the 430 depending on whichever one sells first
Jaguar XJ again I have two so will sell one and keep the other.
then I intend to acquire a 7 series and a S class
So Lexus, Jaguar XJ, VW Phaeton, BMW 7 series and Mercedes S class
this would leave me having 5 of the best cars in the world.
I am almost there.

Apologies to all its not another thread its under CARS FOR SALE headed one must go. bilmac

It has been pointed out to me by private message that the interior looks cream in some photos. I assure all inside is a lovely shade of light grey, Photos on the other thread (One has to go) show this more clearly.
Also I am saying the milage is 112K I did think was but I will check after the weekend as I am driving the Jaguar at the moment and I keep the other cars at my sons home.
While he lives in the country and has two large barns he is not a farmer and has no livestock
In fact he teaches english and history in north west london at the moment
If I have made a mistake with the milage put it down as a senior moment

Phew, what an opportunity! I wish I could make you an offer...
...because I love the looks of your uniquely stunning LS430 ACC/PCS in blue wrap. Have you any pics of the grey interior? Surely a rather practical colour, as opposed to cream, which I find hard to keep looking clean.
Anyway, I happily bought mine almost a year ago for about £6K. It came with full service history, was in extremely clean condition and had a slightly higher mileage than yours. Also it needed: re-attaching of rain sensor, replacing of a broken parking sensor, and touching-up of stone chips on the bonnet. Oh, and the wheels showed the typical Lexus-corrosion.
Some other photos on my One must go thread.

Thank you bilmac/William for your XJ-LS comparison. That urgency when driving the Jaguar surprises me. Makes me think of a sports car.
May I add my own thumbs-up to, what I consider, a handsome vehicle. That includes the inside/cabin.
As for your latest Lexus, well done, especially considering the low mileage.
Have had the 400 since Wednesday driven more than 300 miles some city traffic but most national roads.
I can now understand why the people who have them swear by them.s Unlike my 430 which has Air, this one does not float, it drives more sporty, and feels more like the phaeton or Jag.
I did miss the keyless entry and start but thats about it, its hard to believe that this has touch screen sat nav 14 years ago
while the phaeton did not have it in 2006. mind you the cd disc is way out of date and keeps telling me I am off
road Sorry I do not have more pics at the moment The ones I saved from the Ad do not seem to work now they come out all blurred maybe because DoneDeal have some objection to using them.
Some before and after on my 430
This one is harder to price make an offer, again any inspection welcome and delivered to you.

So the footballing legend had a look at it for me, and it sounds like a right dog! Messi has saved me a wasted day and half a tank of fuel, for which I'm extremely grateful. Especially as I know he must be extremely busy being an iconic international footballer!
Seriously, thanks mate, we've all been there too many times, putting miles on, burning fuel, and turning up to find a car which truly disappoints, so wonderful to avoid all of that! Nice one.
For everybody else, here's another one to avoid! http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201403212700579/usedcars?logcode=visc
As soon as I have sorted out my gold membership privileges, I will be offering mine, so don't waste your time on anything else just yet.
What I will be offering is a genuine car with Low miles (64000) open to any test. and another Genuine car with 112000 miles again open to any test. I am only selling one so whichever goes first, I am keeping the other. bilmac

I rang up and 9 owners put me off
Yes, that would tend to put you off.

Shouldn't someone delete this crook of the LOC? It's no place for crooks
Bit late entering this i know but here's my bit for what it's worth.
I don't think we should ban lexuschap/adam from the forum, if this forum is making comments in regard to car trades or even the person.
And lets be honest here, if members of the forum are stating that a person is doing illegal practices to vehicles prior to sale then they have the right to defend themselves, you would demand that right if it were you, well i would anyway.
We as a forum need to look at things, good and bad objectively, we are not in a court, and sometimes things posted online can be taken further so we also have to be accurate and be able to prove what was alleged.
Now please don't think i'm a supporter of lexuschap/adam, i just think that we should be fair and give him an opportunity to reply.
Whether or not you believe in what the replies are they do have to right to answer.
Just being devils advocate, sorry
Have to agree with this. just fair play from us, to someone who possibly, is not fair with others.
Its the right thing to do.

Looks a really nice car, but I would not be happy with alpha tyres.

If you have been reading my posts, you will know my plan to have If even for a brief time the top 5 Luxury cars
I think they are Lexus LS, Jaguar XJ, Mercedes S class, BMW 7 Series and the VW Phaeton
I have gotten sidetracked a little and now find myself, with 2 Lexus, and 2 Jaguar XJ plus the Phaeton
I need to sell a Ls and a XJ to make way for the 7 Series and S class and to help finance them.
I will be offering the Ls 400 to the forum members here first. perhaps some mod could advise as to the best way to do that.
I do not want to break any rules

Hi William,
How much did the wrap cost, can you polish it and could you post a picture of the engine bay.
She looks amazing. Mike
Mike there is a photo of the engine bay included on post no: 55 this thread.
Cost was 1400 euro so far I have seen nothing which would lead me to think it was not good value. bilmac

As it says, twice now my car has been hit whilst parked in a public place.
Only had the last scrape sorted out in Dec when a blind old **** reversed into my parked out of the way car. Incidentally, the DVLA revoked his license after his GP contacted them, one less.
Today was visiting an old work mate up Worksop, parked up just up from his house on the street, came back a few hours later to find the same side that was repaired had been hit again, not as bad as before but still broke the new sensor, and damaged the panels around the light and wing.
Lexus have my car more than i do at the minute.
I am now ready to lose control with ***** drivers.
Its bad enough when it happens and the other driver is reasonable, but to return to find some ***** driver has done damage and gone
Even if the damage is slight he or she should have had the decency to leave a note. I have a son in law who cares nothing about cars, it never seems to happens to him, while I who likes to keep my car right, has it happen seemly on a regular basis. So yes I do know how you fell

Can someone tell me what is the latest CD based sat nav disc, and where can I get it?
I do have the DVD based latest one from my previous Gs but no good for this car.
-
Never to old to learn new things, Thanks Mark, DHP you say, seller did say it was the sports model with 17'' Wheels. It does makes a noticeable difference.

No they most definitely do not drive the same, the Ls is gentle progress, even at 100mph, the Jaguar is Lets Go, even at 50mph and maybe we can get around this bent at 60. lets give it a go. if you want to be noticed get the Jag, seems everyone from small boys to pensioners love the Jaguar and give you the thumbs up. as to the 5 cars yes that is still my intention, but I am getting sidetracked as due to reading this forum I wanted to experience what the fuss was about the Ls 400 so today I bought this
-
If I couldn't get another LS400 the Phaeton is the car I would go for with the biggest engine W12 and then LPG it.
Yours is a nice looking car.
How were all the toys Sat Nav etc.
Is the blue Lexus the one you have had wrapped?
Mike
You would be very lucky to get a W12 Phaeton I think there are only 2 of them in the UK and maybe 6 or 7 V8s You could get a V10 Diesel there are a good few of them.
I believe that the Phaeton is in the top 5 best saloon cars in the world, I am afraid I lack the education to describe just how good it is, but if you go to VW Vortex forums there are many who can and do
Yes that is the wrapped car it turned out better that I had hoped, the photos do not show how the color changes in the different light its a great color. but the British Racing Green of the Jag is just beautiful.
