I've had my IS200 for a few months now (on a 'V' plate), I have experienced the rattling noise from the back end as well, it took me a while to conclude that the noise was from the brakes. I removed/replaced the pads and bled the brakes, this cured the problem for a few hours, so I am led to believe that there is a fault with the drivers side rear brake cylinder (as the rattle is on one side only), when I get chance I shall drop in to the local dealer and hopefully get the problem sorted via the RAC warranty that I had with the car.
