have you looked in your trunk under the deck where the sub is located??? the gas tank is right under the speaker systems in `the rear deck. kinda restricts u to what you can put in the amp is located on the right side of the trunk under the cd changer system. i do wonder from posts I see in forums about removing the stock head from dash....the head provides line level un amped singal to the amp in the trunk all that would have to be done would be to splice into the harness in the trunk and put better amps to speakers. has anyone tried this????

Hey just a thought...... There is a screw that gounds to the frame on the stock configuration (one of the brackets screws into it) maybye you lost ground when you replaced unit

I bought a 1993 sc400 with the stock config for sound system. I bought a used head Nakamichi to replace mine that had a broken tape deck but I lost the rear speakersthey don't come on). I would put to orignal unit back in but my lovely wife misplaced the head unit(threw away )question are there any additional components required to upgrade from stock poineer to nakamichi suond system???
