  1. I meant the yellow airbag display message that says Airbag is on (or off for), both come on at start-up then the Airbag off one goes and leaves the on message. I did exit the car with lights on and that gave a continuous sort of alarm. There single chime I am getting is just that and always just after start-up. The thing is, its LOUD, not like the lights warning, or seatbelt warning. Makes me think it must be important as its so loud!
  2. Nope, nothing. Its a single chime, and pretty loud, been through manual and cant find anything.
  3. Just got a 2007 IS250SE, and noticed everytime I start it up after approx 5 seconds there is a loud piercing single alarm bleep. I am assuming its some sort of warning as its LOUD! Makes me jump out of skin. Have no warning lights on the instrument display, everything is set as to what I would think is normal, ie traction control etc. As first I thought it was the yellow passenger airbag warning but I dont think it is. BTW How the heck do you trun off that absolutely useless and idiotic warning light always on? Any ideas what this piecing alarm bleep could be? Many thanks. Think I love the car but that plus the dashboard creaks are always doing my head in!
  4. Yes, its a petrol 250 SE. Thanks for the heads-up info, plan to have it all checked out when I get it. Cant wait to get it !
  5. Hello, Just got myself a 2007 IS 250. Has 84k miles with full Lexus history. Nice colour scheme of Argento Ice and grey leather interior. Had Lexus 300 and 400's for 15 years (the 400 for 11 years) and moved to a Mercedes a year ago for the worst years car experience of my long life (I will never, ever buy another German car), so back to Lexus. Hoping the IS will be as reliable as its reputation would suggest. Its not mint, but in very good condition. Getting the wheels refurbed before collection, as with every lexus Ive seen they have corroded a bit. Bought the IS 2 days ago and today bought the missus a Toyota Auris ex-demonstrator, we must like Toyota :) Anyway, just wanted to say "hi", and hope to contribute in some small way to the forum. 6. Hello, new poster here! Had Lexus for 16 years, two 300's and for the last 12 years a 400. Now looking for my next Lexus. (In a mad moment before Christmas I got a Merc, yuch, it has to go). I am thinking of the 450H but I suppose like many people are wondering the Hybrid technology is robust with longevity, or will I be replacing the battery pack at some stage, will the leccy motor start acting up, etc. I am probably seeking re-assurance :) Anything to look out for on the 450H? Known problems/issues? Whats the real day to day petrol consumption, in the sense are the claimed figures realistic? Many thanks if anyone with experience of them can offer some insights and suggestions.
